Baghel commences Suraji Gaon Scheme from Mungeli

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel visited Mungeli district on Sunday and commenced ‘Suraji Gaon’ Scheme from and laid a foundation stone for construction of Gothan (Cow Shed) at fifteen of the places in the district under Narwa, Garwa Ghurwa and Badi (NGGB) scheme.

Initiating the Suraji Gaon scheme, Baghel said “it is now time to focus on NGGB scheme for overall development of rural Chhattisgarh”. He also announced 15 development works for the district worth several crores.

A felicitation programme under Other Backward Class convention was held for Baghel. Addressing people on this occasion Baghel appealed people of Mungeli for electing Congress candidate in upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

“You didn’t elect a Congress MLA from here in recently concluded polls, but could rectify the mistake in Lok Sabha elections”, he said.

Baghel while hitting out at the previous BJP government said the BJP leaders had opened cow shelters but also started taking commission for opening of such shelters. “They (BJP leaders) themselves consumed fodder meant for cows”, he alleged.
