No intention to create panic among vehicle owners: CM

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday assured the state populace that the new Motor Vehicles Act would be enforced in the state only after contemplating its practical aspect.

Talking to media persons during Jan-Chaupal programme at his official residence, the CM said legal opinion had been sought to take a practical step over enforcement of the Act.

There is no intention of the state government to create panic among the vehicle owners of the state, he said.

Stating that the new Act had been introduced by the Union government on Gujarat model, the CM further reiterated that Law department of the state was studying the legal provisions to cut short the hefty fines.

“Though it is mandatory to       follow the Union government’s instructions, we are contemplating on the best possible possibility for the citizens of state,” he added.
