The first phase of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s USA tour has concluded today. In the first phase, several promising investment proposals were recieved from American investors to set up industries in Chhattisgarh. In the next phase of the tour, Chief Minister and his team has left for Boston, where at Institute for Competitiveness, Mr. Baghel will invite the industrial representatives to invest in Chhattisgarh.
In the first phase of the tour, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel had personal interaction with the investors and representatives of Auto Grid System in Silicon Valley and Red Wood Shores of San Francisco. There, Mr. Baghel informed that Chhattisgarh is one of the leading states of India for Éase of Doing Business. He informed the investors about the advantages of investing in Chhattisgarh and why the state is the best destination for investment. He said that the state is situated in the heart of the country and has better connectivity. New industrial policy of the state is investors-friendly. During the discussion, many Indian American industries expressed interest for investment in Chhattisgarh. Nearly 250 investors had participated in this meet.
In this phase of the tour, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel addressed the Indian-origin community at the convention organized by TiE Silicon Valley at India Community Centre, San Francisco, USA and answered the questions related to various aspects of investment in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister had a meeting with members of Chhattisgarh Association of North America. Mr. Baghel along with the officials of Chhattisgarh visited the biggest data centre company of the world- Equinox.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will participate in the India Conference to be held at Harvard University on February 15-16. Mr. Baghel will share his views on ‘Caste and Politics in Democratic India’ on February 15 at the conference.
