For the last one year, due to the global epidemic corona, the country has been economically backward and it has had a very bad effect on the poor sections of its industrial institutions, small and medium businessmen, workers, laborers, hawkers and their families Livelihood crisis continues. Raigad has not remained untouched by this. The demand for electricity was also reduced due to the shutdown of industrial production, which the power plants of the country also suffered. According to the order, after February, coal transport can be done either through rail route or conveyor belt only, which will increase the electricity cost further and due to non availability of coal, production will come down and there will be a problem of coal supply in mines too. This will not only affect the lives of the people working in power plants and mines, but will also result in loss of revenue.
This is a matter of concern and it will create a livelihood crisis for the coal transport dependent families. At the same time, it will block coal supply in small and big industries located in the power plants of the region – Rajdipathra, Industrial Park, Tamnar and Gharghoda, which will create conditions of lockout in industries and loss of employment of workers and their families working in these units. The causal conditions will be catastrophic. This will affect the entire district and the economy is expected to come down to a low level. The said order will also have an impact on the development and expansion of new coal mines in Gharghoda and Tamnar region.
