Amandeep, Shourabh, Shubham selected for Syed Mushtaq Ali T-20 tournament

Amandeep Khare, Shourabh Kharwar and Shubham Singh, three players of BSP cricket team have been selected in the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh Senior T-20 cricket team and are currently participating in the National level Syed Mushtaq Ali T-20 matches. These matches are being organised by Board of Cricket Control for India (BCCI) at Baroda from January 10 to 18, 2021. Amandeep Khare, son of N P Khare, Asst Mgr in Wire Rod Mill of BSP started playing professionally at the age of 13 years. He scored 87 not out in the match against Himachal in the ongoing Syed Mustaq Ali trophy at Baroda. He has been playing Ranji Trophy for four years now. His father Khare is himself an Umpire and feels that his son could reach this level due to the right exposure, support and facilities they got from BSP. Shourabh Kharwar, son of Sunil Kharwar, C/man at Blast Furnaces of BSP, has been playing for BSP cricket team since 2012. He has represented Chhattisgarh team in Vijay Hazare trophy and Ranji Trophy since 2016. Shubham Singh, son of Anoop Singh has served as the Captain of the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association U-23 tournament in 2019-20. An engineer cum cricketer, Shubham is a leg spinner and batsman. He has represented Chhattisgarh in Vijay Hazare, Ranjhi trophy and Syed Mustaq Ali tournaments. Raja Banerjee who has coached all the three cricketers, is currently Senior Sports coordinator, BSP and senior cricket team coach of BDP for almost a decade now. He is also the U-19 Chhattisgarh State head coach. Having trained over 50 cricketers who have played at the national level, he feels concentrating on the process, not coming under pressure and adapting well to different situations is the strategy one must follow.
