A campaign has been launched in the capital Raipur to free government land from illegal occupation. The district administration claims that in the last 15 days, about 400 acres of land has been freed from illegal occupation.
The game of illegal occupation of government lands in Raipur went on for years, but now it seems that the intentions of the land mafia will not be fulfilled. After strict instructions from the government, the Raipur district administration has started a campaign to save government lands from occupation.
Many such acres of land in Mana area of Raipur have been evacuated. Many of the people occupied the vacant land adjacent to the center bought cow dung of the camp. Many crude houses were erected there. They used to build pucca houses with columns and images, now broke the illegal construction and vacated the entire land. Fencing has also been done in due course.
Like mana camp, the government land has been freed from occupation in Temri area. To capture the nearly three acres of precious land adjacent to the airport road, the land mafia had put Murum and prepared it to the road. Now it has been made available for nursery to Mana Nagar Panchayat. Along with this, a red flag and board has also been installed on the remaining vacant land. In the last 15 days, about 400 acres of land in the district has been evacuated from illegal occupation.
