Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri T.S. Singhdeo reviewed the status of corona infection and vaccination in the state and directed the officials to ensure all necessary preparations for prevention and treatment of possible third wave of corona. Shri Singhdev was reviewing the departmental work at his residence office today. In the meeting, he also directed to run public awareness campaigns among the people regarding water stagnation, dirtiness for prevention and prevention of dengue cases spreading in the capital Raipur and other places. He said that ELISA test should be done for the patients suffering from dengue. Special care should be taken to ensure availability of adequate quantity of medicines for the treatment of dengue in the hospitals of the affected areas. Health Minister Shri Singhdev took detailed information about the preparations being made in view of the possible third wave of corona infection in the state and also instructed to keep all necessary preparations for better management for prevention of infection along with availability of oxygen and ventilator. . He said that attention should be paid to the cleanliness and maintenance of all the equipment available in the hospital. In the meeting, necessary guidelines were also given regarding the establishment of Virology and Hummer Lab and proper implementation of Ayushman and Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme. Minister Shri Singhdev said that it is necessary to apply the second dose along with the first dose of vaccination. He said that keeping in view the shortage of vaccine, demand should be made for supply of adequate vaccine in coordination with the Central Government. He also insisted on applying the second dose within the prescribed time limit to maintain immunity in the people who had applied the first dose of the vaccine. In the meeting, Health Minister Shri Singhdeo directed to make all necessary arrangements in new medical colleges Kanker, Korba and Mahasamund as well as to constitute autonomous committees in these colleges. He discussed about the inspection of National Medical Council and recruitment of academic staff in these colleges. He said that approval has been received from the Finance Department for the recruitment of vacant posts of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff etc. in the department, soon these posts will be recruited through departmental or agencies. In the meeting, Shri Singhdeo informed that such a system is being prepared by the department that in the next six months, free blood tests should be conducted in all the health centers of the state. Samples of blood testers will be taken in primary and sub-health centers only and through the department vehicles will be sent to blood test centers for sample testing. After investigation, his report will be sent online. Apart from this, preparations are also being made to provide all the medicines written by the doctors in the OPD slips of the patients free of cost. He directed the officers to establish blood banks as per the requirement in the inaccessible and remote areas of the state.
