For Indians there
are greater opportunities to become rich and to be hero (not
villain!) in the scams. There are dazzling new heights to scale,
such as sending an Indian into space. But the people are pushed
under the ground by the underground culprits including politicians.
Supreme court has rightly asked why they does not be hang on the
pole. Blind Dhritrashtra instead of counting huts wants to make
Mumbai a Shanghai.
What is worrying
is the defensive response to the blindingly obvious. When the
UN pointed out
earlier this month that two-thirds of India has no access to
sanitation and more than 1,000 people a day die of diarrhea in the
country, putting India a dismal 126th in the world's 177 nations in
terms of human development, the minister of water resources
questioned why India should be compared with any other nation.
In any case, by
this time the media and the mindless middle class, obsessed with the
rich and the famous, had found another cause to be hysterical about.
Two graduates of two IIMs, offered jobs by multinationals overseas,
were promised salaries that were astronomical by Indian standards
but absolutely normal for rich countries of the West.
Why
evil process of covering up scams tale is going on? Example of
Quattrocchi is before us. Tail of raised price burns stomachs of
people and middle class people. Grain Exporter India does imports.
Scam tail Vs
Hanuman tail
The
list of Indian billionaires keeps getting longer and longer. The
tail of scams is also becoming longer and longer. Ram Bhakt hanuman
increased the length of his tail when it was being burnt in the
court of Ravan. Burning tail burnt the lanka. Here Ram drohi are
burning the huts and livelihood of the poor people.
Quattrocchi
received Bofors kickbacks through Myles Stott of AE Services based
in London. “The statement of Myles T. Stott that the amount Bofors
had paid to AE Services was related to the agreement of sale of guns
to India; and the trail of subsequent transfers of the money to
companies owned by Quattrocchi—from AE Services to Colbar
Investments to Wetelsen Overseas,” at page 7 of its judgment, the
Swiss Court then noted.
Day-by-day length of this tale is going long and long. Why evil
process of covering up this tale is going on? Scott had links with
AWB Ltd. He was holding an important post in the company.
No Food to hungers
Present Indian
Government is importing wheat through this company. Why? Volcker had
named this company in Oil for Food Scam. AWB Ltd was the biggest
exporter of humanitarian goods to Iraq. Grain exporter country does
imports the grains, now want to import cereals.
As we know due to
the hunger suicide and death are occurred as news comes from the
Kalahandi of Orissa. Using Indian government data, the report argues
that increased inequality isn't just because the rich getting
richer; India's poor are getting poorer. There are 20 million more
people in absolute poverty than before 1991. Government data also
shows that, at a time when there are more Indian billionaires
chronic hunger is raising, reversing trends from the 1970s and
1980s.
Farmer Suicide
As
reported today on Saharasamay, One farmer of Sasaram of Bihar killed
himself after throwing his three children in the water tank due to
the unbearable poverty. Most farmers kill themselves by drinking
pesticides. Sasarm is the constituency represented by late Jagjivan
Ram whose daughter Meera Kumar is in the Union Minister. This
constituency is now being represented by another Minister and masiah
of poor dalits Ram Vilas Paswan.
There are
literally thousands like him in the countryside, where in states
like Orissa, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Bihar the “average” income
is considerably below the national rural poverty line of $650 a
year.
At the same time,
in all this prosperity, Indian farmers are committing suicides.
India cannot create enough jobs for all who enter the job market
every year. Most damning of all, India has the highest number of
poor people for any country. People living below the poverty line
are in number 300-350 million. They need schools, clinics, credit,
roads, jobs and unemployment benefits.
