Brother
killed elder brother for one crore?
As reported by media
on April 10, 2007: Slain BJP leader Pramod Mahajan's wife, Rekha Mahajan
has said in court that Mahajan's brother Pravin Mahajan killed him for
money. Now Rakha’s statement established the motive behind the murder of
her husband.
Rekha said that a few days before the shooting on April 22, 2006, Pravin
had come to their residence and demanded a sum of Rs 1 core from his
elder brother Pramod.
This threatening was
in the knowledge of Gopinath Munde former deputy CM of Maharashra. Munde
did not want to interfere in the matter related to the brothers.
Pramod tried to convince him that he did not have that much money due to
which Pravin got angry and after threatening the BJP leader of dire
consequences, left the house angrily, she said.
Pravin is accused of shooting Pramod multiple times with his licensed
gun at the latter's Worli residence, resulting in his death.
Meanwhile, Pravin
Mahajan's wife Sarangi Mahajan has rebutted Rekha Mahajan's statement.
Sarangi Mahajan said, "Pramodji was like my father. He was a priceless
gem. His life can never be worth just a mere crore. He was a priceless
gem. His life can never be worth just a mere crore."

Govt accuses Slain Prof Sabbarwal’s son of blackmailing
In a sensational
disclosure, the Madhya Pradesh government on Monday accused slain Ujjain
professor H S Sabharwal's son Himangshu of trying to blackmail it for
compensation for his father's murder during a college election on August
26 last year.
The letter written
and signed by Himangshu on January 8, 2007 said, ``This is to remind you
of my earlier applications to which I have no answer and action either,
on the issues raised. They are: The appointment of a special prosecution
in the trial of the murder case as I have no faith in the public
prosecutor, his abilities and his intention; Creation of a bust/statue
in the college premises; Declaration of an event in his memory and a
compensation of Rs 25 lakh to his bereaved wife, my mother.'' The letter
was issued by the state government on April 9.
"I have asked for a
statue of my father in the college, a special prosecutor and
compensation. Where is the question of a compromise? My father died on
duty, the government should as rule pay compensation," Himangshu said.
"When we did not
pay-up, he went to Congress and campaigned against BJP during the
Vidisha Lok Sabha by-polls. He has been marketing Prof Sabharwal's
demise to start a career in politics with Congress. He had even
approached Congress for an election ticket," Cabinet Minister of MP Govt
Vijayavargiya alleged.
Reacting to this, Himanshu said, "Who can stop me from joining a
political party? I campaigned against BJP because Congress gave me a
platform."
A month and a half
after Professor Sabharwal‘s death, his son Himanshu Sabharwal's crusade
for justice has taken a different turn after getting the backing of
Congress and open support of former CM Digvijaya Singh and Manak
Agarwal, spokesperson of the MP Congress.
The Congress then has
found a new face with loud mouth to launch a new anti-BJP and anti-Shivraj
Singh Chouhan campaign.
“If Himanshu
Sabharwal wants to serve the Congress party, the Congress party will
utilise his services willingly. We will organize his public meetings in
the constituency. He is an intelligent and capable young man, a fine
orator and a man with a positive vision, and the party can only benefit
from his presence,” said Manak Agarwal, spokesperson of the Madhya
Pradesh Congress.
Barganing for
votes on Gujarat Riot Victims Demises
The UPA government
decided to give Rs 7 lakh as compensation to 5,000 so-called riot
victims in Gujarat
, the
same amount given by the government to the 1984 anti-Sikh carnage
victims. But there was no mention of relief for the Godhra victims.
Perhaps it happened because those karsevaks burnt themselves as reported
by Lalu and his Banerjee Commission! Perhaps secular government forgot
to register the suicide case against those. It is open fact that
decision to award compensation to the 2002 rioters has not only exposed
the hypocrisy of the UPA government, but also made the Congress
vote-bank politics amply clear. Giving similar relief to the victims of
terrorist attacks on Akshardham temple and other places might be against
secularism and the constitiontion. So Secular head Manmohan alopted more
transperancy to legalize the bribery other wise who will him Oxford
University
returned scholar. Sonia has genuine love to India
so she
suggested genuine bribery to Muslim Victims.
