We welcome Ghar vapsi (Home coming) of Plume (Kalgi) ‘worn’ by tenth Sikh Guru Guru Govind Singh. June 30 of 2009 is a historic day.
Sonia won, PM lost:
Sonia Gandhi inaugurated Mumbai-Worli-Sea-Link on June 30, 09 to give its name Rajiv Gandhi Setu.

Who wants to ruin Ram-Setu?
When we see towards the golden wall of Swarn Mandir (Golden temple) of Amritsar, then we think that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh lost the golden opportunity to make a golden history by giving that Mumbai Sea Bridge in the name of Kalgidhar (one who wears the plume) Guru Govind Singh.
Can Congress see India beyond the Gandhi-Dynasty?
Who makes June 30 a historic day, in what ways?
Every Indian should think on the above?
``...I wish you could walk through that (Ranjit Singh's) Toshkhana and see its wonders; the vast quantities of gold and silver; the jewels not to be valued, so many and so rich; the Koh-i-noor, far beyond what I had imagined; Runjeet's golden chair of state; silver pavilion; Shah Soojah's ditto; Relics of the Prophet; Kulgee plume of the last Sikh Guru; sword of the Persian hero Rustum (taken fron Shah Soojah); sword of Holkar, etc..." wrote an overwhelmed Colonel Robert Adams after visiting the treasury of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
Union Minister Chidambaram said in Lucknow that India was never a “sone ki chidiya”. Who looted ‘Sone ki Chidiya’.?
Plune (Kalgi)
lume, or kalgi,The plume, or kalgi, which have been worn by Guru Gobind Singh, was one of the items in Ranjit Singh's possession.
After the British occupation of Punjab following the Second Sikh War, thedecoity of kalgi was made by Lord Dalhousie for taking Pune algi) to England where it finally ended up at the Victoria and Albert Museum and now in India.
Who follows ‘divide and rule’ policy of British?
Lord Hardinge declared war against Sikh Kigdom in 1845. Although the Khalsa army was divided, and at least one commander was secretly on the British side, it inflicted heavy blows on the opposing force, largely due to the effectiveness of its artillery.
Finally on 29 March 1849, Lord Dalhousie annexed the Sikh kingdom to the British crown
Last Sikh King Maharaja Dulup Singh
June 30 of 2009 historical event reminds us religious home coming (in Sikhism) of Maharaja Dulup Singh.
The Sikhs lost the war. Rani Jindan was put under house arrest; whereas the young Maharaja was taken away to Mussorrie, where he was put under the guardianship of Dr. Sir John Login and his wife, lady Login. On 8th March 1853 at the age of 14, the Sikh Maharaja was baptized (converted) as a Christian and his unshorn hair was cut.
Ghar Vapsi (Returning Sikhism) of Maharaja
In April 1854, Duleep Singh sailed to England under a deep conspiracy, master minded by Lord Dalhousie
Once in England the deposed Maharaja was never allowed to return to his native land Punjab although he tried (on three occasions). On his final attempt to return to Punjab he was detained by the British forces at Aden. May 25th, 1886 he returned to his original faith ’Sikhism’ by being baptized with ‘Amrit’ by five Sikhs at Aden (Middle East). Losing all hope, he finally went to Paris, and died on 22nd October 1893.
Congress against ‘Ghar Vapsi’
This may also remind us present days ‘ghar vapsi’ movement (Welcome home/ Returning original religion) of Lok Sabha Member from Chhattisgarh Dilip Sigh Judeo and others.
Congress and so called pseudo-seculars are against ‘ghar vapsi’ . UPA Government doesn’t support the bill which is against the forceful conversion. Though, the bill has been passed by Gujarat Assembly. The same happened in Rajasthan when BJP ruled state government passed that bill. Did Mahatma Gandhi want Forcefully Conversion?
All India SC and ST Mahasangh, Himachal Pradesh—has taken the stride to bring them all again in the main stream of the society in the vibrant leadership of its president Mr. Tarsem Bharti.
Mr. Tarsem Bharti raveled, “We shall insure that anybody who wants to come back to his original faith is not deprived of opportunity to do so. It is ones fundamental right. Keeping this in mind, a ‘Pratham Swadharam Vapasi Samroh’ is being organized in Shimla very soon. On that occasion Lajja Devi and many others would have a chance to return to their home. And this will be the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Himachal Pradesh.”
