Nationalism above all ISMs: PM Modi in Ireland to remind Éamon de Valera and Subhash Chandra Bose

Éamon de Valera (/ˈeɪmən dɛvəˈlɛrə/; 14 October 1882 – 29 August 1975) was one of the dominant political figures in twentieth century Ireland. His political career spanned over half a century, from 1917 to 1973; he served multiple terms as head of government and head of state. He also led the introduction of the Constitution of Ireland

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Ireland for a few hours on Wednesday, the first Indian PM after Jawaharlal Nehru in 1956 to visit the country. Like many of the PM’s visits, this one too is expected to have a clear focus on trade and the Indian Diaspora.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose met many freedom fighters of Ireland which was the result of his later meeting with the most prominent freedom fighter of Ireland Eamon De Valera.

De Valera was a leader in the War of Independence and of the anti-Treaty opposition in the ensuing Irish Civil War (1922–1923). After leaving Sinn Féin in 1926 due to its policy of abstentionism, he founded Fianna Fáil, and was head of government (President of the Executive Council, later Taoiseach) from 1932 to 1948, 1951 to 1954, and 1957 to 1959, when he resigned after being elected as President of Ireland. His political creed evolved from militant republicanism to social and cultural conservatism.[

De Valera’s actions raise concerns about Ireland’s neutrality both nationally and internationally.

On 2 May 1945, the then Taoiseach Eamon de Valera visited the German Embassy to convey his condolences at the death of Adolf Hitler. The move evoked a storm of controversy and outrage at home and abroad. He insisted that Ireland’s national interests had to take priority over all other considerations.

50 years later, reporter  writer and historian, Joe Carroll spoke to reporter Nick Coffey about Eamon de Valera’s controversial visit to the home of German Ambassador Eduard Hempel.

Both had also grounded his strategic alliance with the axis powers. Netaji Bose recognized in de vellera a man of his style a nationalist. For example Subhash Bose expressed friendly feeling towards Chiang kai shek as long as these did not stand in the way of his interest in an alliance with Japan. But when Bose had to choose between a preferance for China or Japan, he choose an alliance with imperalist Japan, even against the Chinese nationalist Chiang Kasi Shek. From Netaji Bose’s point of view Chiang kai Shek was a henchman for the British Colnial rulers.

De velera’s Irish nationalism and Subhash Bose’s Indian nationalism sharede one important common point:The opposition to Great Britain. Their indivividual interests did not conflict with each otherr.

Subhash Bose always judged all isms- Socialism, Fascxism, Communism and liberalism and those who represented these isms from the perspective of Inida’s national interest. This was the reason he was able to travel through out Europe with a sense of India’s natioanl interest and distribute his allegiances among those who appeared useful to him and his country India.

Bose retunging to India from Europe torip in 1936 was a turning point in his life. Due to the death of his fatheer, he had to come back in India in 1936. Following his arrival in Bombay on April 8, 1936, as he expected in his letter to Nehru on March 4, he was arrested following his this arrival. He was free again in 1937. He was free in 1937. Bore wrote his memoirs in Badgastein and marry there in Dec. 1937. The above facts related  to De velera and Subhash Bose  are also endorsed in the book of  Anton Pelinka titled “Democracy Indian Style: Subhas Chandra Bose and the Creation of India’s …

Netaji was detained in Siberia, disclosed to media in Delhi by Stalin’s daughter

Netaji’s was detained in a VIP Camp- in Cell No. 45 of Irkutsk Gulag near Baikul Lake and Ural Mountains. Indian Revolutionary Abani Mukherjee was kept in Cell No. 53 in the same camp.

The daughter of Stalin, Swetlana Alliluyeva said in Delhi that Netaji was in Siberia’s yarkutaskjail. She also gave barrack (Cell) No.45 of gulag in Siberia as mentioned above. This statement of her was published that time in the Indian newspapers.

Above fact is also confirmed by Satyanarayan Sinha and others. by Shri Goga (son of Shri Abani Mukherjee) to Dr. Satyanarayan Sinha (former Indian Ambassador to Russia).

We may find this truth from the declassified documents of Mamta Banerjee’s West Bengal Government.

Svetlana Iosifovna Alliluyeva

Svetlana was born on February 28, 1926 as Svetlana Stalina. Like most children of high-ranking Soviet officials, Alliluyeva was raised by a nanny and only occasionally saw her parents.

When she was just 18, Svetlana, married a Jewish fellow student at Moscow University against her father’s wishes. She had a son by him but the marriage was dissolved and her ex-husband sent to his death in a Siberian labor camp where Netaji Bose and Abani Mukherjee were imprisoned.

Relationship with Brajesh Singh

In 1963, while in hospital for the removal of her tonsils, she met Brajesh Singh, an Indian Communist visiting Moscow. The two fell in love. Singh was mild-mannered and highly educated but gravely ill with bronchiectasis and emphysema. The relationship grew deeper and stronger still while the couple were recuperating in Sochi beside the Black Sea.

Singh returned to Moscow in 1965 to work as a translator, but he and Alliluyeva were not allowed to marry. The following year, 1966, he died.

She was allowed to travel to India to take his ashes to his family to pour into the Ganges. She stayed in the family home in Kalakankar on the banks of the Ganges for eight months and became immersed in local customs abandoning atheism. In an interview on April 26, 1967, she referred to Singh as her husband but also stated that they were never allowed to marry officially.

Netaji Mystery: Dr Sinha joined Mussolini’s forces as Sonia Gandhi’s father Maino

Tags:Netaji Mystery, Dr Satyanarayan Sinha, Sinha joined Mussolini, Mussolini’s forces, Sonia Gandhi’s father, Stefno Maino

Mr-Mrs-stefno-maino-sonia-parent

This article is the extention of my previous article titled “Bihar angle: Netaji Mystery vs Nehru”

Dr Satyanarayan Sinha as a witness threw such facts which contradict the finding of Two inquiry reports – Shah Nawaz Committee and one-man GD Khosla Commission, set up in 1956 and 1970 by the Congress governments led by Jawaharlal Nehru and his daughter Indira Gandhi respectively, concluded that Bose died in a plane crash at Taihoku airport.

Dr Sinha joined Mussolini’s forces, fought the allies during 1935-36 as Sonia Gandhi’s father Stefano Maino in Italy was the follower of Musollini.

Who is Dr Satya Narayan Sinha?

Born in 1910 in Chhapra town of Bihar, Sinha was introduced to Acharya Kripalani, Acharya Narendra Dev and Mahatma Gandhi at a very young age, and he spent close to two years in Sabarmati Ashram in 1924.

On March 5, 1930, Sinha sailed for Europe and stayed at Sorrento near Naples with Maxim Gorky. Fluent in many foreign languages, including German and Russian, Sinha studied medicine in Vienna but ended up as staff captain in the Soviet Army and served for two years from April 1932 to July 1934.

He served as an interpreter for six months in Siberia where he befriended many Russian and German spies.

Later, Sinha went to Ethiopia where he joined Mussolini’s forces, fought the allies during 1935-36 before returning to India in the late 1936.

Sinha left India again on January 1947 and served in various countries on the direction of Pandit Nehru. Later, he joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1950 but resigned two years later. He was elected as a member of the first Lok Sabha from Bihar in 1952.

Justice Mukherjee Commission, constituted by the NDA government in 2001, was dismayed by the sheer negligence of the Khosla Commission which omitted several crucial leads that Sinha provided to unravel the Netaji mystery.

World’s Coldest Prison Camp

Several camps were erected in Yakutsk by the river Lena to lodge prisoners of war and political dissidents. They were employed in building new shafts for coal mines, roads, dams etc. Each camp, known as Gulag, had 500 to 1,000 captives living with minimum facilities. The majority couldn’t survive the harsh weather and primitive living conditions, and died while building roads in this coldest city on earth.

The Confusion Over Ashes

The Shah Nawaz Committee that was constituted by Nehru had concluded that ashes preserved at Renkoji temple was that of Bose. However, declassified principal points of the committee which later formed the basis of official report suggest that the three-member committee was not convinced about it. The members, including Shah Nawaz, Netaji’s brother Suresh Chandra Bose and S N Maitra, opined that Renkoji was very far from the cremation site and although there was no tampering with ashes, it cannot be definitely said that ashes were those of Netaji. But, despite this candid admission, all three members agreed to cover up the truth emerging out of facts.

“Ashes from the crematorium to Renkoji temple is a long way—first to Nishi Hongaji temple, then to Tokyo etc. There is nothing to show that there was tampering, but to prove that it was definitely those of Netaji, much more stringent measures required by law should have been taken and a different and very strict procedure by way of seals, guards etc should have been taken. In all probability, the ashes could be said to be those of Netaji,” stated Principal Points of Shah Nawaz Commission drafted on June 30, 1956.

How Sinha was Branded an American Agent

Sinha claimed he did not appear before the Shah Nawaz Committee in 1956 because of rebuke from Jawaharlal Nehru Commission: You mean the rebuke which he administered to you in 1951 or on some later occasion?

Sinha: 1954

Commission: What did he say?

Sinha: There was an open debate in Parliament after that and then he asked me in a private letter: how many times I had been to the American Embassy and whether I was their agent or not?

Commission: Was it in connection with Netaji?

Sinha:  Netaji Subhas Bose case.

Bihar angle: Netaji Mystery vs Nehru

satyanarayan-sinha-bihar-angle

Late Dr. Satyanarayan Sinha Parliamentarian and Minister in the Nehru Cabinet was also a member of Bihar Vidhan Sabha from 1926 to 1930

Tags: Bihar angle, Netaji Mystery, Nehru, Satyanarayan Sinha, Goga. Abani Mukherjee, Siberia cell,  Khosla Commission, Justice Mukherjee Commission, Shah Nawaz Committee

Former Indian ambassador Dr Satyanarayana Sinha once met Goga, the son of Abani Mukherjee, a revolutionist in the Russian communist party; who told him that his father and Netaji were prisoners in adjacent cells in Siberia. He also told Sinha that Netaji had assumed the name ‘Khilsai Malang’ there.

The most shocking of all information it contained was that Netaji had posted a letter from Russia to Nehru, telling that he wished to come back and he also asked Nehru to make amendments for his come back!

You may confirm this from the parliamentary records from 3rd August 1977; and the files published by the British government.

Netaji’s was detained in a VIP Camp- in Cell No. 45-46 of Irkutsk Gulag near Baikul Lake and Ural Mountains. Indian Revolutionary Abani Mukherjee was kept in Cell No. 53 in the same camp.

Ref: (i) Confirmation by Shri Goga (son of Shri Abani Mukherjee) to Dr. Satyanarayan Sinha (former Indian Ambassador to Russia)

*

Dr. Satyanarayan Sinha’s deposition before the Khosla Commission disclosed that Netaji was imprisoned in cell number 45 of Yakutsk Prison in Siberia, where over half a million slave labourers perished; Yakutsk is the coldest city on earth. But mysteriously, the committee decided not to probe Sinha’s testimony. Very few prisoners in Yakutsk survived the brutal conditions, but a former NKVD agent, Kozlov, who was rehabilitated later by the Soviet government, told Sinha about meeting Bose in Siberia. Sinha had an adventurous career, serving in the Russian Army in 1932 as an interpreter; he even fought in the battle of 1935-36 on the side of the Italians in Ethiopia before he became an aide to Nehru.

Harpal Singh sharing the article from the newspaper New India Express Link presented following facts:

On October 17, 1970, Sinha, then in his 60s, was summoned before the Khosla Commission constituted by Indira. The files running into hundreds of pages reveal that Sinha had a trove of information regarding Netaji. He told the commission that Netaji did not die in the plane crash and was imprisoned by the Soviets in Siberia. This was Sinha’s first appearance before the commission and under oath, he testified that in 1954, he met Kozlov in Moscow, who told him that Netaji was lodged in Yakutsk Prison. It appears from the proceedings that the commission had received overwhelming evidence from Sinha but ultimately decided to ignore them.

Excerpts from the proceedings regarding the meeting between Kuzlov and Subhas Chandra Bose:

Khosla Commission: I want you to be more specific about this information which you received. Who gave you the information and what were the exact words used by him as far as you can remember?

Sinha: Kuzlov was the name of the man who was connected with the training of Indians till 1934. The same man was later treated by Stalin as a Trotskyist and sent to Yakutsk prison. From there, after the war, he had come back. I met him in Moscow. He said that he had seen Bose in Cell No. 45 in Yakutsk.

Commission: Did he name Bose or did he say some important Indian?

Sinha: He knew Bose. He had been a Soviet agent in India in 30s. He had met Bose in Calcutta and he knew his residence.

DID NEHRU KNOW BOSE WAS ALIVE?

Sinha, who was elected to the first Lok Sabha in 1952 from Bihar, made scathing observations in Parliament indicating a cover-up in the Netaji probe at the top levels in the Indian government. Born in 1910 in Bihar, Sinha had been tasked by Nehru to report on the political situation in Europe in 1947. Sinha told the commission that he got the funds from Nehru’s personal account in The National Herald and it was through Nehru confidant Rafi Ahmed Kidwai that he received money for his travel and investigations. In this capacity as an informal secret agent, he travelled to Germany, Italy, France and Yugoslavia before joining the Indian Foreign Service in 1950 and served as First Secretary in the Indian legation in Berne, Switzerland. Sinha told the Khosla Commission that he had gathered further evidence from Russian spies that Bose was living in captivity in Russia, which he had already informed Nehru in 1950. Sinha began probing into Netaji’s disappearance in 1949. In 1950 in Leipzig, Germany, he had met Karl Leonhard, a former Abwehr spy who had served time in Siberia, after Germany lost the war in USSR. Leonhard reportedly told Sinha: “I have come to know that your leader Bose is also a prisoner.”

Sinha deposed that in a meeting with Nehru on April 13, 1950, he had given the prime minister the new information, but Nehru was disinterested. Though initially relations between USSR and India were cool after 1947, Stalin, who had refused to meet the Indian Ambassador to Moscow Vijayalakshmi Pandit, gave an audience to Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was then the Indian envoy. Stalin also offered a treaty of friendship between both countries. The USSR then supported India on the Kashmir issue. Nehru visited Soviet Union in 1955 and in return Premier Nikita Khrushchev and Defence Minister Nikolai Bulganin visited India in 1956. Meanwhile, Indo-US relations had cooled and the USSR stepped in with technological and economical aid. On the 1962 India-China war, the USSR blamed China as responsible for the war. India started buying Soviet arms in 1963 on a large scale when Nehru was PM.

Khosla Commission: Did you meet him (Nehru) in Delhi or elsewhere?

Sinha:  In Delhi.

Commission: You went to see him and told him that a Russian had given you this information?

Sinha: Yes, that is on 13th April, 1950.

Commission: What did Pandit Nehru say to that?

Sinha: He said that he would check up the matter. But he said, “I think, this is American propaganda.”

Commission: After that, did you take any further steps to enquire into the matter?

Sinha: I did. Another talk on this subject which I had with Pandit Nehru was on 16th January 1951 in Paris where there was the ambassadors’ meeting.

Sinha also claimed that he had raised the issue with Radhakrishnan, who warned him that any further probe in the matter may harm his (Sinha’s) career. Sinha had worked as interpreter to Radhakrishnan while the latter was serving in Geneva. They had met on the sidelines of the ambassadors’ conference in 1951 in Paris. “He (Radhakrishnan) warned me that I should not meddle in these things. I asked him why. Then he said ‘you will be spoiling your career, you will not be anywhere’.”

Sinha told the Khosla Commission that he was making the charges “with full responsibility to prove them before the commission and before the wide world.” Sinha also said that he did not believe that the government wanted matters regarding Bose to come out in the public domain. He said, “Nehru was a very very strong man. When Khrushchev came, I was acting as an interpreter. I asked him ‘Will you in your next visit bring Netaji with you? Then Russia and India will become best of friends.’”

Sinha had also told the commission that Chinese officials had told him that Nehru was the only person who could repatriate Netaji.

THE COVER-UP

In 2006, the Justice Mukherjee Commission report concluded that Netaji did not die in the plane crash at Taihoku airport and the ashes in the Japanese temple are not his, and that in the absence of any clinching evidence a positive answer cannot be given. Former Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramchandran in a written reply on May 7, 2013, told Parliament that “the Government of India did not agree with the finding of Justice Mukherjee Commission of Inquiry (JMCI) that Netaji did not die in the plane crash. The government of India based on the reports of Shah Nawaz Committee and Justice Khosla Commission constituted on the question of the alleged death/disappearance of Bose came to the conclusion that Netaji died in the plane crash on August 18, 1945.”

However, Sinha had accessed classified Soviet documents from Berlin that concerned Netaji’s death but was stopped by the government. Later he asked the Khosla Commission whether he could quote at least three lines from the documents, but it appears from the proceedings that the commission was not interested in listening to what Soviet intelligence documents had to say about Netaji and the topic was changed. In 1963, Sinha went to Taipei to probe into Netaji’s death. He took hundreds of photographs of the alleged crash site and runway, making at least 30 sorties. He also submitted five photographs to the Khosla Commission marking the Taihoku runway. He made the sensational disclosure that the earlier photographs shown to the public featuring the crash site could be fakes because any photograph showing the crash site should have the Keelung River in the frame which was missing. But the commission again changed the topic instead of probing the new photos.

“The conclusion which I immediately came to was that if the runway was south of Keelung River, east-west and in the photographs, if the contour of the hills come, any photographs of the wreckage taken must show the Keelung River in between. There is no way out for taking any photograph without it,” Sinha had told the commission.

Probe not given  secret files

In 1956, the Shah Nawaz Committee refused to consider the document “Allied secret report No. 10/Misc/INA”. The document says, “Gandhi stated publicly at the beginning of January that he believed that Bose was alive and in hiding, ascribing it to an inner voice. Congressmen believe that Gandhi’s inner voice is secret information, which he had received. This is however a secret report, which says Nehru received a letter from Bose saying he was in Russia and that he wanted to escape to India. The information alleges that Gandhi and Sarat Bose are among those who are aware of this.”

Interestingly, the contents of the letter were omitted from Shah Nawaz Committee report. The committee did not find it necessary either to visit the alleged crash site in Taihoku to make further probes that suggested that Netaji was alive.

The File No. JMCI/ Russia/ UO Papers/ 2001 revealed that the Mukherjee Commission tried to get in touch with Sinha’s family members to find out if he had left any diary or notes pertaining to his depositions. It appears that the commission was surprised at the omission of Sinha’s finding in the Khosla Commission report.

Even in 2000, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) had claimed privilege and told the commission that the “documents are kept secret for ensuring the proper functioning of the public service.” The PMO affidavit said: “These are unpublished official records, the disclosure of which would cause injury to the public service.”

Netaji Subhash Bose was alive in 1949: Wanted to speak on the transmitter: Netaji Files reveal

Netaji Subhash Bose was alive in 1949: Netaji Wanted to speak in 1949, Netaji Subhas to speak on the transmitter
Two years after independence, it means even in 1949, a radio broadcast aroused much curiosity and stoked the hope of many Indians that Netaji could be alive.

Further as reported by Madhvav Nalapat in his article Sunday Gurdian, Netaji Bose was alive in 1949. That time ambassador of India to the USSR in Moscow, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, having a meeting with Netaji Subhas Bose in a prison near Moscow soon after taking charge at the embassy in 1949. However, till his death, Radhakrishnanji, who subsequently became President of India (in 1962), refused to comment on such reports.

In a letter dated November 18, 1949 one of Netaji’s nephews, Amiya Nath Bose, wrote to brother, Sisir Kumar Bose: “For the last one month, a strange broadcast is being heard over the radio. We’re getting this broadcast on the short-wave near 16mm. The broadcast only says, “Neta Subhas Chandra Bose transmitter-e katha bolte cheyechhen. (Bose wants to speak on the transmitter).” This sentence is repeated for hours.”

The above said letter was intercepted by the Kolkata Police Special Branch. Sisir was then studying medicine in London. Elder brother Amiya lived in Kolkata. Amiya continues: “We don’t know where it (the broadcast) is coming from, because that’s not announced. It’s possible to find the location of a transmission.”

This letter figures in File 606-29, one of 64 declassified by the West Bengal on Friday.

Sisir Kumar Bose, a reputed Kolkata paediatrician, drove the car Netaji used to escape from his Elgin Road house in 1940. Amiya, also a noted physician, participated in the Quit India Movement, became an MP and was the Indian ambassador to Myanmar.

So many years after independence, intelligence units of Bengal and the Centre’s Intelligence Bureau were intercepting letters exchanged between Bose family members. Every move, especially of Sisir and Amiya were tracked by “agents”.

The declassified files contain letters and “secret weekly surveys” of “activities” of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose family members up to the 1970s when Congress ruled Bengal and Siddharth Shankar Ray was CM.

IB too sought regular reports on the Netaji Subhas Bose family. One file show that on August 20, 1971 Delhi wrote to Bengal’s intelligence branch asking “if there’s anything adverse against Sisir Bose”. A veteran intelligence officer said: “These days, I don’t think we track even criminals or terrorists like this.”

The weekly survey of the Calcutta Police security control for week ending August 26, 1965, includes a letter Sisir Bose wrote to Tatsuo Hayashida seeking specific information on Netaji in Japan.

Sisir Bose wrote: “The Netaji Inquiry commission made a great mistake by not visiting Formosa and holding an investigation on the spot. Moreover, there was no judicial person on the said committee.”

Was India ruled more than 60 yrs by supporters of hanging of martyrs? Why was snooping on Bhagat Singh and Bose’ family?

Was India ruled more than 60 yrs by supporters of hanging of martyrs? Why was snooping on Bhagat Singh and Bose’ family?

Know How UK and Nehru involved? Conspiracy to kill Netaji Subhash Bose…

Nehru’s letter to Atlee that time Prime Minister of UK is a link with the joint snooping operation of UK and Nehru Govt.  UK Govt and Nehru Govt jointly spied on Subhash Bose family.

Now Bhagat Singh’s nephew alleges snooping on family:

“Our family had been under surveillance for years. Our phone conversations, too, had been under the scanner for years,” Bhagat Singh’s 57-year-old nephew, Abhay Singh Sandhu told reporters in Mohali. Sandhu is son of Bhagat Singh’s younger brother Sardar Kulbir Singh, who was born in 1914 and was Jansangh MLA from Ferozepur.

“As far as I know, intelligence agencies snooped on my father Kulbir Singh, younger brother of Bhagat Singh, till his death in August 1983,” said Sandhu.

“My father, late Sardar Kulbir Singh, tried to obtain files or records pertaining to the two which have been kept in National Archives in Delhi,” Sandhu said, adding over the years they had been told that the files were “secret” and not transferable for 20-30 years.

“My father passed away in 1983, but even after that when we tried to raise the demand we were given the same answer”, he alleged.

He said the Congress put a lot of pressure on his father to join it, but he did not agree to that. He said the intelligence agencies used to plant domestic servants at their home. “Gathering information on my father and other relatives of revolutionaries was further increased when they held a meeting in New Delhi to start a campaign against Nehru after a big setback in the Indo- China War 1962,” he said.

“Before that meeting, my father and his associates had already started a campaign on the corruption issue against the Nehru government,” he claimed.

“When my father used to travel to Delhi, intelligence officials used to clandestinely travel with him,” he said. They used to inform telegraphically their higher authorities about the train etc. in which Kulbir Singh travelled to Delhi.

“Once, my father came to know that information about the train boarded by him to travel to Delhi had been passed on to the intelligence authorities. Instead of traveling to Delhi, my father got off the train at some other place. An intelligence official once requested him that he should keep them informed about his travel plans so that he could save his job,” said Sandhu.

Abhay Singh Sandhu said in 1983 an intelligence official was planted at their home disguised as a research scholar. The person, he said, told his father that he was doing a research on Bhagat Singh and his family. The nephew said the informer in the guise of a “scholar” stayed with them for six months and kept a close watch on the people who came to meet his father. He said the surveillance increased on his father and other relatives of the revolutionary after a meeting was held in New Delhi to start a campaign against Nehru following the setback in the war against China in 1962.

Abhay Singh Sandhu said, “Intelligence officials kept a close watch on my father’s travel plans.” Son of Bhagat Singh’s sister, Prof Jagmohan Singh said he was witness to developments of surveillance on the family of Bhagat Singh. Abhay Singh Sandhu demanded declassification of files pertaining to snooping on revolutionaries.

“After consulting legal experts, I have decided to first approach the Union Government through an RTI plea to seek various files and other documents. In case, the Union Government refuses to do so, I will approach the High Court or the Supreme Court to get those documents,” Sandhu said.

What was the necessity of snooping of Netaji Subhash Bose family from 1948 to 1968 if accidenta death of Subhash Bose happened in 1965?

Why was Nehru’s interest in that snooping?

Why UK Govt involved itself iin that snooping?

Why Nehru wrote letter to Atlee about Netaji Bose?

Did UK Govt and Nehru Govt want to hide facts of assassination Subhash Bose and for this snooping remained continue 2o years even after the independence of India?

Is the shadow of above questions behind the denial of declassification of Netaji’s related 29 documents which are still in the hands of Indian Government?

The IB’s recently declassified papers, now placed in National Archives and accessed by Mail Today and India Today, show the Nehru government snooped on the Bose family between 1948 and 1968

How Declassification (release) of the Netaji-related records may prejudicially affect ‘relations with a foreign country UK, Russia, Japan or else?

Thousands martyrs were hanged by the British Govt of India. Still we have good relation with the British Govt. Then how we can justify the argument placed by our Government regarding the denial of declassification of documents?

The people of India and his admirers and followers worldwide would like to know the truth about what happened to Netaji on and after 18 August 1945, but also any other information that may throw further light on the Indian freedom struggle and its aftermath,” the Bose family letter states.

Right to Information (RTI) appeals have revealed that the Prime Minister’s Office holds 39 secret files relating to Netaji.

The Ministry of Home Affairs claimed in December that the release of the Netaji-related records may prejudicially affect ‘relations with a foreign country’. In February this year, the PMO responded to an RTI application stating that the PM had no discretionary powers to declassify the Netaji files.

The proposal from the Bose family, whose co-signatories include Surya Bose’s younger siblings Madhuri Bose and Chandra Kumar Bose, also asks for distortions in books on India’s freedom struggle to be rectified and the role of freedom fighters like those of the Gadar Party, Rash Behari Bose, Chandrasekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh to be documented.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured family members of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose via Surya Bose, the eldest son of Amiya Nath Bose that he will personally examine the case for the declassification of the Netaji files.

30 Jan reminds us not only Godse but also shadows of the killers of Netaji Bose?

“Dog bites boy” has no news vlue, ‘Boy bites dog’ has news value. Godse killed Gandhi. This is open fact. Singing barking every time has no no news value. New value should be who are killing Gandhi every minute and who were involved in the killing of Netaji Subhash Bose.

I have written in the preface of my bookl “Silent Assassins, Jan 11, 1966”:

If we could know the conspirators of mysterious death of Netaji Subhash chandra Bose hen Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherji would have been saved. If we could know the conspirators of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee then life of Lal Bahadur would have been saved. So I think that reading this book would be beneficial for readers and the country as well.

Ashes Of Gandhi Immersed, Not Of Subhash!!

Netaji Mystery

Neither government nor politicians and even not the alive family members of assassinated Netaji and Shastri have interest. We are beating drums or turr turr as tortoise time to time to insult our beloved leaders whose death were not natural and whose assassins become our leaders? The facts are in public domain.

Gandhi showed condolence before Netaji S C Bose’s death!!

Netaji Mystery: Jinnah, Gandhi, Nehru, and Azad knew: Who killed Netaji?

Should dark side of Jinnah, Gandhi Nehru and Azad not be come out in light?

Netaji Mystery: Who Killed Netaji?

netaji-who-killed-sulekha

My article of 2006: http://creative.sulekha.com/who-killed-netaji_143390_blog

Netaji Mystery: Who Killed Netaji?

Congress killed Netaji files. Why Nehru betrayed Netaji. Gold-Diamond loaded Trunks took Air journey. Where was wealth of Azad Hind Bank? What said JanmBhoomi editor? What said Nehru to UK PM?

Who were involved in the conspiracy to murder Subhash Chandra Bose, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukerjee and Lal Bahadur Shstri? It is not possible to find out answers of all these in this limited worded article.

Researcher Professor Purabi Roy and her fellows, who have estimated the worth of INA funds and who are prominent deponent before the Mukherjee commission, have some light to throw on the issue. But Report of Mukherjee commission is totally rejected by Congress led Govt. without giving any reason. Congress ally CPM also suspects congress move and wants the discussion in the parliament on the Report.

Threatening to Researchers

Did Netaji really die in the 1945 plane crash? Incredibly hard facts have now emerged fromMoscow vaults. Netaji was in fact very much alive till at least 1946 one full year after his supposed “death”. Russian archives had yielded two precious documents. The first concerned a discussion that Joseph Stalin had with his defense minister Voroschilov and foreign affairs minister Molotov in 1946. The second was a report filed by a Soviet field agent stationed in India, also in 1946.

One more British archive document also states that the entire theory of the plane crash, in Taihuku (Japan), was pre-planned and contrived. In fact as late as December 20, 1945, a Japanese newspaper even reported that Bose was on his way to the Soviet Union and passed through Tokyo.

Find the killer of Netaji

British Prime Minister Clements Attlee decided ‘Let him remain where he (Subhash C. Bose) is now’. This decision was taken in October 1945. It clearly indicates that he was alive even in Oct 1945.

Netaji was reported to be alive even after 1945 by the British intelligence from Teheran andKabul quoting the Russian embassy officials. This was even stated in the Shah Nawaz commission report (File No. 10/ Mis/ INA-pp 38, 39).

In 1946, Gallacher, a British communist party worker publicly criticised the then Irish President D’ Valera for welcoming Netaji in Doublin! D’ Valera didn’t deny this. He visitedIndia after 1946 and even commented publicly ‘I expected to meet Bose here’!

The British intelligence has reported that Nehru knew where Netaji was. Nehru took the Foreign Affairs portfolio himself and appointed none other than Vijayalekshmi Pandit as the ambassador to Russia!

After her term was over, Dr S.Radhakrishnan became the representative to Russia. Dr Saroj Das of Calcutta University told his friend Dr R.C.Muzumdar that Radhakrishnan had told him that Netaji was in Russia.

As reported in every newspaper at that time, daughter of Stalin Swetlana said inDelhi that Netaji was in Siberia’s yarkutaskjail. She also gave barrack No.45 of gulag in Siberia. This is also confirmed by Satyanarayan Sinha and others.  We may find this truth from the declassified documents of Mamta Banerjee’s West Bengal Government.

Speaking to the Hindu, Prof. Guha lent evidence to the view that Subhash Chandra Bose died in a Soviet Prison. He noted that Joseph Stalin was crueler than Adolf Hitler’.

A Soviet agent named V G Sayadyants who was based in Mumbai reported home that “Bose is the only hope for Soviet Russia,”

The new findings are based on declassified documents in the Russian military archives in Paddolsk, and from the British archives. They were discovered by three researchers-Purabi Ray, Hari Vasudevan and Shobanlal Dutta Gupta-working on the history of communist movement in India. The plot has thickened even deeper with the admission by these researchers that they have been receiving threatening calls from unidentified persons asking them to suspend all further inquiries and end the government-funded research. Fear for security led the work on the project to be stopped shortly, around the middle of 2000. For Details: www.swordoftruth.com/swordoftruth/archives/byauthor/shamolimitra/tmbnd.html

Why Mukherjee Commission Report rejected?

Congress does not want the nation to know Jawaharlal Nehru’s actions and role in betraying Netaji. The previous two Commissions: Shah Nawaz Committee and the Khosla Commission were appointed by the Congress government. For bringing truth BJP let NDA Govt. appointed Mukherjee Commission.

“I saw Netaji alive after his alleged plane crash” is disclosed by Capt Abbas Ali, an old INA freedom fighter.

“It was ‘unbelievable’ that Netaji died in an air crash” said by Suresh Chandra Bose elder brother of Subhash C.Bose. He deposing before the Khosla Commission charged Mr Shah Nawaz Khan with “playing Netaji false”

Deposing before the Khosla Commission, Dr Satyanarayan Sinha said Colonel Habibur Rehman had confessed to him at Patna in 1946 that he had had told a lie when he said that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose died in a plane crash in Taipeh on August 18, 1945

Killing of Netaji files by Congress Governments

Most of the secret files about Netaji, that were maintained by Pandit Nehru himself as “P.M.’s special” files, one of which included all communications connected with INA Defense Committee, were reported by the Indira Gandhi Government as “either missing or destroyed”. It will not be easy to presume that Netaji’s communication to Nehru and a copy of Nehru’s letter to Attlee have also been destroyed. These files were dealt with by the personal secretary of Pt Nehru – Mohmd Yunus.

Nehru’s shocking role in betraying Netaji

Shyamlal jain, the confidential steno of the INA Defense Committee, in the course of his deposition, made a shocking revelation about Nehru’s attitude toward Netaji,”Later Nehru asked me to type a letter on his letterhead. Mr.Nehru addressed that letter to Mr.Clamment Attlee the then PM of Britain, in which Mr.Attlee was informed about the contents of that hand written note regarding Mr.Subhash entry into Russian territory.

“I solemnly affirm and state on oath that thereafter Shri Jawaharlal Nehru gave me four papers from his writing pad to make four copies of a letter, which he would dictate to me on typewriter, which I also complied. The contents of the letter, as far as I could remember, were as follows

Dear Mr. Attlee:

I understand from a reliable source that Subhas Chandra Bose, your war criminal, has been allowed to enter Russian territory by Stalin. This is a clear treachery and betrayal of faith by the Russians. As Russia has been an ally of the British-Americans, it should not have been done. Please take note of it and do what you consider proper and fit.

Yours sincerely,
Jawaharlal Nehru

Col. Tada

Col. Tada, one of the principal architects of Netaji’s escape plan confided to S.A. Iyer in 1951 that the Japanese agreed to make necessary arrangements to convey Netaji to Russian territory across the border of Manchuria.

Late Amritlal Seth, editor ‘Janmabhumi’

Late Amritlal Seth, former editor of the Gujarati Daily Janmabhumi, who accompanied Nehru during his visit to Singapore told late Sarat Chandra Bose immediately after his return from Singapore that Panditji was warned by the British Admiral that, according to his report, ‘Bose’ did not die in the alleged air crash and if Nehru played up too high with the legends of Bose and demands for re-absorption of the INA (Azad Hind Fauz) in the Indian Army, he would be taking the risk of presenting India on a platter to Bose when he reappeared.

Journey of Gold-Diamond loaded Trunks:

What happened after August 18 remains shrouded in mystery. While conducting her research in Moscow and England Professor Purabi Roy pursued a war time major of MI5 who had snooped around Bose. Roy met the agent in Oxford and he told her that a huge amount of ‘INA money’ was handed over to Lord Mountbatten and a senior Congress leader in Singapore, and that is the key to Bose’s disappearance (and the subsequent reluctance to unravel the mystery) could be solved to a great extent by ascertaining the route that the funds travelled.” Read full story at: http://www.missionnetaji.org/newsite/page/treasure_treachery.html

Azad Hind Bank

Captain Wadhera sought to know the whereabouts of the huge wealth that was collected by Netaji for the freedom struggle and deposited in the Azad Hind Bank, which was specially opened to prevent misuse of cash and ornaments donated by Indians to strengthen the hands of the INA in its freedom struggle.

Recalling the events from his INA days, Captain Wadhera disclosed that a big rally was organized by the Indian Independence League at Singapore to welcome Netaji. “As the huge gathering of Indians in Singapore garlanded Netaji, nearly a truckload of garlands accumulated there”, he said.

After thanking the gathering, Netaji announced that he would like to auction the garlands that had been put around his neck.

“The bid started with Rs 1 lakh (in 1943 it was more than rupees fifty lakh of today). The first garland was auctioned for Rs 1 crore and 3 lakh, which was purchased by a Muslim industrialist of Malaya, Habibur Rehman. Later he volunteered his services to join the movement. The women offered their valuables and gold ornaments. Total collections at this auction were about Rs 25 crore”, Captain Wadhera nostalgically recalls”.

Mukherjee Commission submitted its report on November 8, 2005. The government sat on it for six months, then tabled it in Parliament on May 17, 2006, when it also rejected the report. Why such late in tabling the report?

Basically, the commission’s findings are the following:

(1). Netaji did not die in the August 1945 Taipei plane crash as reported.

(2) The ashes at Tokyo’s Renkoji temple are not his.

(3) The story of the crash was a trick to help him escape, and the Japanese and Taiwanese governments knew about it.

(4) The Indian government suppressed a report by the Taiwanese government which stated this in 1956.

(5) Netaji is now dead.
