Rhodes-Kulkarni: Secular Jinnah vs Obama’s Muslm root?

Tags: Rhodes-Kulkarni, Secular Jinnah, Obama’s Muslm root, Sudheendra Kulkarni, Advani, BJP, Hindu Muslim Unity

Rhodes, 31, is Obama’s only foreign policy speechwriter and the one charged with writing his long-promised address to the Muslim world, delivered in Egypt on June 4, 2009.

Just before five years on the same June 4, standing before Jinnah’s tomb, Advani spoke the speech of his speechwriter Sudhir Kulkarni and described the founder of Pakistan as “secular” and an “ambassador of Hindu-Muslim unity”.

Sudhir Kularni, a former cardholder comrade was infiltrated as speechwriter in Vajpayee’s PMO and thereafter in the office of Advani. He prepared the most controversial speech “Secular Jinnah” for Advani at the time of his Pakistan journey. PMO jumped in ‘Death well’ : http://www.newsanalysisindia.com/aug_06.htm

It is unfortunate that BJP top leadership could not find better than comrade Sudhir Kulkarni as speech writer and Brijesh Mishra as PMO chief….http://newsanalysisindia.com/203042007.htm

Many BJP leaders and sympathizers were surprised greatly that a former communist, Sudheendra Kulkarni, could be as close to BJP party president L.K. Advani as he was once to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Obama is comfortable to show his Muslim root

The president showed long ago that he is comfortable talking about his roots, in his two biographical books — now, he’s citing those roots ahead of his speech to the Muslim world.

President Obama has spoken proudly of American Muslims, even referencing his heritage as the son of a Muslim man, ahead of his highly anticipated speech Thursday in Cairo aimed at shoring up relations between the U.S. and the Muslim world.

India should remind Obama: http://www.thechhattisgarh.com/060609.htm

Was/Is Advaniji comfortable to make Jinnah a secular?

Lohpurush Advani’s tributes to Jinnah were ironic considering that his association with the RSS started in Karachi and he was a pracharak in Sindh in his college years.

Nationalists of India see Advani as a symbol of Hindutva. Advani has Hindu root instead of Muslim root as Obama has. http://www.thechhattisgarh.com/160509.htm

Pakistani media had reported that Islamabad was considering naming Advani in its wanted list for alleged involvement in a case relating to an assassination attempt on Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Though, later Pakistan’s High Commissioner Ashraf Jehangir Qazi said that Advani was never on wanted list of Pak.

Should politicians follow their speechwriters or speechwriters have to follow their leaders?

Sudhir Kulkarni is well known among the Leftist journalist-group and Anti-Hindu news channels.

Rhodes is still largely unknown compared to Jon Favreau, Obama’s 27-year-old chief speechwriter and one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people.

“He (Obama) was making changes up to the last minute, which is not unusual, and so I literally had to do those in the back of the motorcade to this site and then find a zip drive that could plug into the teleprompter,” Rhodes recalled in an interview. “He likes to work on things until the end because he likes to get them just the way he wants them. So sometimes that’s easy, sometimes it’s you in the back of a van with a laptop on your knee hoping your battery doesn’t die.”

Senior adviser David Axelrod said: “Everybody here sort of lives with the reality that the president is the best speechwriter in the group.”

‘Gujarat riots forced allies to desert BJP’ written by Advani’s speechwriter Kulkarni on June 7, 2009.

Comrade Kulkarni could not dare to write the fact that his speech writings for Advani forced the nationalist voters to desert BJP.
