Mole in Indian Army:

The details of a meeting between then defence minister A.K. Antony and then Army chief General Bikram Singh on troop movement in Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir borders reached the Pakistan Army, which accordingly countered the Indian plan.

The meeting between Antony and Bikram Singh took place on February 15, 2014, at 11am, lasting an hour. After the meeting, the Army chief briefed then director general military operation (DGMO) Lieutenant General Vinod Bhatia about the redeployment plan.

After knowing the leakage to Pak by ISI mole in India army; a meeting of the Army top brass was later held with Manmohan Singh, who visited the DGMO war room. The Army managed to identify the “mole”, who was a senior officer who had leaked the operational details to ISI. He was court-martialled.

Mole in various ministries:

On a day when President Pranab Mukherjee promised stricter government action against corruption, the ramifications of the leaks in the petroleum and other ministries widened as Delhi Police claimed to have busted a parallel racket in purloined documents with the arrest of another man and the questioning of seven employees of two ministries. And thus top executives from 5 firms, 2 consultants arrested. In its ongoing probe into the leakage of classified documents of the petroleum and coal ministries, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police unearthed a new racket with the arrested of Lokesh Sharma, a 33-year-old employee with Noida-based energy consultant company Infraline Energy. The same story is of other ministries.

Chapter – 14
Tharoor follows UK’s War Minister Profumo

Court orders Wife to Pay Alimony to Ex-cricketer vs who is happy with husband to see Injured Sunanda?

His sexual frustration leads him into an affair with the other lady

After reading conflicting tweets between Shashi, Sunanda and Mehr Tarar it seems: Shashi Tharoor’s sexual frustration leads him into an affair with the Mehr Tarar. Shashi Tharoor realised that he cannot live with the mind alone, he must also be alive physically. This realisation stems from a heightened sexual experience Constance has only felt with charming woman other than ill Sunanda, and suggesting that love can only happen with the element of the body, not mind.

So there was physical quarrel between husband and wife: 15 injuries sign found at Sunanda’s dead body.
Further the sensational claim by head of forensic department at AIIMS, Dr Sudhir Gupta, that he was pressurised to fabricate the autopsy report of former union minister Shashi Tharoor’s wife, Sunanda Pushkar, once again raises doubts on the unexplained injection mark on her right wrist.” Sunanda’s body had 15 injuries, all of them caused over a span of 12 hours before her death. Injury number 12 was caused by a teeth bite. All the injuries “were caused by blunt force, simple in nature and not contributing to death, except injury number 10, which is an injection mark,” reads the report.

Pushkar’s caretaker Narayan also claimed before the SDM that the couple had been quarrelling for days. “I had gone along with the couple to Thiruvananthapuram where they got into a heated argument over Tarar. We later returned on 15 January afternoon but on the way back they again started fighting,” Narayan told the SDM. He also said on January 16 night the couple had an ugly spat over Tharoor’s alleged relationship with Tarar. The quarrel continued till 4.30 am on Friday.

Following are two examples sufficient to understand the above truth:

(1)
The mood of the early 1960s: In August 1960 Penguin was prosecuted for publishing one of DH Lawrence’s lesser works, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, notable only for its use of the f-word and some sublimely silly sex scenes. The trial was farcical – at one stage the jurors were invited to consider whether they would be happy for their wives and servants to read such a book – and the outcome rarely in doubt. When Penguin was given the go ahead to publish, there was minor pandemonium: the initial print run of 200,000 copies sold out on the day of issue, November 10.
The story concerns a young married woman, Constance (Lady Chatterley), whose upper-class husband, Clifford Chatterley, described as a handsome, well-built man, has been paralysed from the waist down due to a war injury. In addition to Clifford’s physical limitations, his emotional neglect of Constance forces distance between the couple. Her sexual frustration leads her into an affair with the gamekeeper, Oliver Mellors. The class difference between the couple highlights a major motif of the novel which is the unfair dominance of intellectuals over the working class. The novel is about Constance’s realisation that she cannot live with the mind alone; she must also be alive physically. This realisation stems from a heightened sexual experience Constance has only felt with Mellors, suggesting that love can only happen with the element of the body, not the mind.( guardian.co.uk, Tuesday 10 April 2001)
(2)
Court orders Wife to Pay Alimony to Ex-cricketer
In a rare judgement on a divorce petition, Saturday July 20, 2014 Gandhinagar (Gujarat) family court magistrate DT Soni directed Rajvinder Kaur to pay her husband Dalbir Singh Gill Rs 10,000 per month as alimony

Page-191

In his petition, the former cricketer Dalbir Singh, who played with Sachin Tendulkar, had alleged that his wife, whom he had married in 2006, had confined him in their house and used to harass him physically and mentally. He also said Rajvinder would not allow him even to walk inside the house with the help of crutches. While pronouncing his judgement, the magistrate relied on the accounts given by the couple’s neighbour and a police officer.

The couple’s neighbour Kamlesh Trivedi has told the court that Rajvinder used to tie Dalbir up with ropes. A police officer, investigating the case, confirmed the neighbour’s statement saying Gill, who was locked up in a room, was taken out after neighbours complained about illtreatment by his wife

Christine Margaret Keeler
Christine Margaret Keeler (born 22 February 1942) is an English former model and showgirl. Her sexual involvement with a British government minister discredited the Conservative government of Harold Macmillan in 1963, in what became known as the Profumo Affair. She provided secrecy of her county UK to the enemy country Russia. Christine Keeler has admitted that she betrayed her country.UK.

Mehr Tarar alleged ISI spy may have enjoyed backing from Pakistan’s ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence). Many such episodes involving politicians and Army officers are already well known to the world and considering the significance Tharoor holds in Indian and world politics.Mehr Tarar did not betrayed her country Pakistan. She did spy-work for her country’s ISI. For this she made contact to J&K C M Omar Abdullah and both Union Ministers Shashi Tharoor and Ghulam Nabi Azad.

It is turning out to be the subcontinent’s virtual love-hate triangle, a journalist, a possessive wife and an Indian minister. A close friend of Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar says it was MoS for HRD Shashi

Page-192

Tharoor’s long side partitioned mop that triggered a catfight across the line of control. “She liked Shashi Tharoor’s hairstyle,” Tarar’s friend told to media. These remarks made things more complicated and saw a cat-fight in twitter that followed a love-triangle involvement.

It was said that Shashi Tharoor who cared a lot to Sunanda Pushkar ditched his life and feelings.

Keeler said her spying had begun in 1961, before she even met Profumo.

Then 19-year-old Keeler had been sleeping with former Secretary of State for War John Profumo, then 48, and a handsome Russian spy Yevgeny Ivanov.
The orgy-loving playboy Ward, it seemed, was the ringmaster who introduced everyone.
The scandal hit the headlines after seven shots were fired at a house in a quiet Marylebone mews by a jilted boyfriend of Keeler in December 1962.
It then emerged the then 19-year-old Keeler had been sleeping with former Secretary of State for War John Profumo, then 48, and a handsome Russian spy Yevgeny Ivanov.
The orgy-loving playboy Ward, it seemed, was the ringmaster who introduced everyone.

Page-193

But when news of the Profumo-Keeler-Ivanov love triangle broke 18 months later, Profumo lied to the House of Commons about his affair. He was soon found out and Keeler sold her story to the News of The World for £23,000.
In June 1963, he quit in disgrace, amid allegations Keeler had been asked by Ivanov to discover from the War Minister when the West Germans might receive U.S. nuclear missiles to be stationed on their soil.
Profumo had been a rising star of the Tory Party, close to Prime Minister Harold Macmillan, a favoured visitor at Buckingham Palace, a war hero and the dashing husband of actress Valerie Hobson, one of the great beauties of her day.

On July 8, 1961, Ward took her to Cliveden House, Buckinghamshire – the ancestral pile owned by Lord Astor – where Profumo first showed his interest in her after seeing her swim naked.
According to her book, Keeler claims Ward used that first meeting to steal secret letters from Profumo’s briefcase, detailing the delivery of nuclear weapons to Germany.
Her affair with Profumo began days later and she claims Ward immediately asked her to find out through pillow talk when the nuclear warheads were being moved to Germany.
In December 1962, the police were called to Ward’s home when another of Christine’s ex-lovers, Johnny Edgecombe, fired shots at the lock while she and showgirl pal Mandy Rice-Davies cowered inside.
The police investigation led to Ward’s arrest and charges for living off immoral earnings and the revelation of Christine’s affair with Profumo.
Ward committed suicide before a verdict in the case was reached. She was sentenced to six months in jail for perjury.
She said she was a ‘stupid young girl’ and did not fully understand she was doing anything to harm her country.
Speaking of Ward, Keeler said she was recruited by ‘a clever, charismatic but dangerous man’ and admitted she was flattered by the attention she got from Profumo, who had a ‘natural style’ about him.
*
In July 1961, Ward introduced Keeler to John Profumo, the Secretary of State for War, at a pool party at Cliveden, the Buckinghamshire mansion owned by Lord Astor. Profumo began a brief affair with Keeler, which

with a knife. When Keeler ended the relationship with Edgecombe, in December 1962 he turned up at Ward’s house in Wimpole Mews, where she was temporarily seeking refuge, and fired five shots at the building. His arrest and subsequent trial brought Keeler to public attention, and provided the impetus from which the scandal known as the “Profumo affair” developed. After initially denying any impropriety with Keeler, Profumo eventually confessed and resigned from the government and parliament, causing great embarrassment to his government colleagues who had previously supported him. These events, in the summer of 1963, brought Keeler fame and notoriety; The Economist gave the headline “The Prime Minister’s Crisis” alongside a picture of Keeler, with no further explanation
* Shashi Tharoor is member of the Tharoor Tharavadu of Kerala heritage was born in London, to Lily and Chandran Tharoor. Shashi Tharoor’s career in the United Nations began in 1978 as a staff member of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva.

After his entry into politics in 2009, he served as Minister of State for the Ministry of External Affairs, but was forced to resign in less than a year after becoming embroiled in a political scandal. Tharoor’s first wife was Tilottama Mukherji, a granddaughter of Kailashnath Katju, an academic from Kolkata. They have two sons, Kanishk and Ishan. Justice Markandey Katju is the son of Kailashnath Katju. Katju family belongs to Kashmir. In this way Sunanda and Tilottama both have Kashmir heritage
* Later Shashi Tharoor married Christa Giles, a Canadian diplomat working at the United Nations. After that he married Sunanda Pushkar.

Mr. Tharoor is an unusual figure in Indian politics. After a long career at the United Nations, he ran for Parliament from his hometown, Trivandrum, the capital of the southern state of Kerala. In his spare time he also became an author of some acclaim, writing 11 books, including 3 novels.

Page-196

popular but is still the province of a tiny fraction of Internet users, smacks to some of elitism.

Shashi Tharoor was a smooth-talking politician from South India with an international reputation from his time at the United Nations. Mr. Tharoor, formerly a top United Nations official, was one of the first politicians in India to use Twitter intensively, and infuriated many Indians in 2009 when he sent out a message describing traveling in coach on a flight as “cattle class out of solidarity with all our holy cows.” Hindus revere the cow, and the post almost cost him his political career.

On Friday night of January 17, 2014 Sunanda Puskhar was being discussed in the media and trending on Twitter as people posted messages conveying shock and sadness over her death, with many commenting on the role the social media played in her last days.
Tharoor became the first Indian politician and celebrity to get 100,000 followers on Twitter, which to a great extent he popularised in the country.
The unravelling of the couple’s personal lives began, when the wife, Sunanda Pushkar, was quoted as saying she sent out a series of messages on Twitter that she said proved that a Pakistani journalist was pursuing her husband. Days later, on Friday Jan 17, he reported finding his wife dead in a hotel bed.

“Why is Shashi Tharoor feeling so nervous? He should be one who should be standing up and say I want a complete inquiry to be done. Why did he get rushed through the cremation of his wife within a day? This is ridiculous. There are many things which are wrong with it,” Swamy said.
However, Swamy said sources in the Delhi Police have told him in private that it was a “gruesome murder”.
“Why is Tharoor so keen to declare the case as death due to natural causes? We want to get to the bottom of the matter. What is the need to have no photos token of her body? Whatever photos were taken was destroyed. Delhi police probe is not moving forward. Police sources till me in private that it is a gruesome murder.”
BJP leader Subramanian Swamy commenting on Sunanda’s sudden death, said it seemed to be a case of “pre planned murder”. He said:

Page-197

“We must know what the truth is, and who was she likely to harm, for whom was her living a dangerous thing.”
*
Subramanian Swamy today said that Sunanda Pushkar’s death was not a suicide, it was a well-planned murder. He added that though he believed Shashi Tharoor wasn’t involved in it, the former minister knows that his wife was murdered. Speaking to CNN IBN, Swamy demanded a CBI probe into the case.

Swamy’s allegation comes on the back of accusations levelled by the AIIMS doctor who performed the autopsy on Pushkar, where he suggested that he had been compelled to distort the findings.
The Forensic Head of AIIMS Dr Sudhir Gupta on Wednesday alleged that he was ‘under pressure’ to submit a manipulated report on Sunanda Pushkar’s autopsy.

India Today reports further: “Swamy has maintained throughout that there was a foul play in Sunanda’s death. He had earlier said that there was evidence that former Union minister Shashi Tharoor’s wife was murdered using Russian poison, adding that he had the proof to support his charges.”

According to a report in the Times of India, Dr Sudhir Gupta, wrote to the Ministry of Health and the Chief Vigilance Commission alleging he was being pressured to submit a report saying Pushkar died a “natural death”. Gupta who was heading the team of forensic experts that conducted the post-mortem, claimed he was pressured “by top officials”, says the report.

Dr Gupta has also submitted details of emails exchanged between AIIMS director and Tharoor. Interestingly, Dr Gupta’s disclosure comes at a time when has been slapped with charges of plagiarism and misconduct,” the report says.

*
In 1989 he was appointed as the Special Assistant to the Under-Secretary-General for Special Political Affairs, the unit that later became the Peacekeeping Operations in New York. Until 1996, he led the team responsible for peacekeeping operations in the former Yugoslavia Until 2008, he was a career official at the United Nations, rising to Under-Secretary General for Communications and Public Information, but

Page-198

resigned after losing to Ban Ki-moon in the 2007 election for the Secretary-General.

He was well-off, media-savvy and US-friendly, qualities that are very helpful in politics. However, the Indian system is as chaotic as the US system, and the most carefully-prepared plans fall by the wayside when circumstances shift. Because he was only in his 50s, Tharoor was seen as a “youth” by the Manmohan Singh team, whose key ministers are in their 70s.
Post-UN career
In February 2007, amidst rampant speculation about his post-UN future, it was presciently reported in the Indian press that Tharoor might be inducted into Council of Ministers of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as Minister of State for External Affairs. In the same month, it was reported in an American gossip blog that Tharoor was a finalist for the position of Dean of the USC Annenberg School for Communication in Los Angeles, though he withdrew his name from consideration at the final stage. Instead, Tharoor became Chairman of Dubai-based Afras Ventures, which established the Afras Academy for Business Communication (AABC) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, in an indication of his growing interest in the city where he would go on to win two parliamentary elections. He also spoke widely around the globe about India and Kerala, where he spent increasing amounts of time before moving for good to India in October 2008.

Prior to embarking on his political career, Shashi Tharoor also served on the Board of Overseers of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, the Board of Trustees of the Aspen Institute, and the Advisory Boards of the Indo-American Arts Council, the American India Foundation, the World Policy Journal, the Virtue Foundation and the human rights organization Breakthrough. Tharoor was an International Adviser to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva for the period 2008-2011. He was also a Fellow of the New York Institute of the Humanities and the Patron of the Dubai Modern School, and on the Advisory Council of the Hague Institute for International Justice
Tharoor, who left his job at the UN after unsuccessfully contesting elections for the secretary-general’s post, returned to India in 2008. Soon after, he divorced his Canadian diplomat wife. He married Sunanda in 2010 — his third marriage. He has two sons from his first wife, Tillotma.

Page-199

In March 2009 Tharoor contested the Indian General Elections as a candidate for the Congress Party in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. His opponents included P. Ramachandran Nair of the Communist Party of India (CPI) beside others. Despite criticism that he was an ‘elite outsider’ zero grassroots contact, Tharoor won the elections by a margin just two votes short of 100,000, helped by the fact that more than 70% of the women vote went to him.
Tharoor was then selected as a Minister of State in the Council of Ministers of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. On 28 May 2009 he was sworn in as Minister of State for External Affairs, in charge of Africa, Latin America, and the Gulf.
Not being aware of the advantages within the subcontinent, Tharoor very quickly made enemies with his open display of superiority over the rest of his colleagues. Believing that the Indian media – especially the English-language segment – was as influential in Delhi as it was in his former New York home, Shashi Tharoor spent much of his time renewing friendships with key media persons, making himself available for off-the-record chats about matters of policy and politics. And he sought to ensure that the enormous goodwill for him in Sonia Gandhi’s household remained intact.
Although the Kerala media did not touch upon this fact, Tharoor’s spouse, Canadian arms control expert Christa Giles, was a huge advantage to him in New York and in Delhi, especially in opening doors to the literary and art circles so favoured by Sonia Gandhi. It was a definite advantage for Tharoor to have a foreign wife, especially a lady as educated and accomplished as Christa. What few in Delhi knew at the time Tharoor was being considered for a parliamentary seat in 2008 was that his relationship with his wife was breaking down.

IPL Controversy
Swamy added that Pushkar knew about massive money laundering in the IPL and hence was killed to keep the the details from not tumbling out.

In fact he told India Today, ”Sunanda Pushkar had said she would expose the IPL deals.

Soon afterwards, and in almost as total secrecy, he began a friendship with a charming young widow in Dubai, Sunanda Pushkar, who is Kashmiri. Only when Indian Premier League boss Lalit Modi was about to “out” the Tharoor-Pushkar link did the minister’s office release titbits on his Dubai connection, who had been given “sweat equity” worth $15 million by a Kochi consortium that won the IPL bidding, beating Ahmedabad.
From the media attack on Tharoor, it is clear that his status in “ Number 10” ( or 10 Janpath, the home of Sonia Gandhi) has fallen for a while due to public pressure.
Had Tharoor remained a favourite, the media attack on him would not have been so savage. However, it would be wrong to condemn Sunanda Pushkar as having secured a huge financial windfall simply because she is close to a junior minister. Perhaps she has qualities and abilities that are worth $15 million in compensation over five years, but if so, she had best make these public, as otherwise the buzz is that her only knowledge of cricket is watching the game on television, while her contacts in Dubai, while substantial, are hardly in the megabuck range.
Tharoor’s opponents claim that the IPL payout is his “wedding gift” to Sunanda Srinivasan also remembers the time Tharoor told him about Sunanda.

Page-201

“He was so excited. Shashi told only a very few about his plans but this gang of few were celebrating. I was the first to go to their wedding from Trivandrum at the ceremony Tharoor looked the happiest he has looked in years. And today, I don’t even know what to say.” So, what went wrong? (Deccan Herald, Jan 19)
M D Nalapatis rightly said in his article: “These days, cricket is an important part of a city’s image, and winning an IPL team would indeed boost the standing of Kochi, the attractive port on India’s west coast that has recently set up a huge international Information Technology park. For the same reason, one of India’s most successful business persons, Gautam Adani, was interested in bringing theIPL to the capital of Gujarat, Ahmedabad.
The reality is that the bilionaire was closer to key individuals in the Manmohan Singh Cabinet and the higher echelons of the Congress Party. Put simply, few dare to tangle with Gautam Adani, and these past few days, Shashi Tharoor has been finding out exactly why that is so IPL boss Lalit Modi is clearly no friend of Tharoor, and his behaviour has made it clear that he is seriously annoyed that Kochi pipped Ahmedabad in the cricket auction.
Shashi Tharoor did enjoy a bit of very public flirting with his beautiful wife. Hyderabadis remember that infamous FICCI speech the Union minister gave some years ago, with Sunanda in front row.
A guest present at the event remembers: “Oh yes, the chemistry between the two was really strong. So, strong that it made all of us uneasy. There was a lot of verbal PDA and Tharoor would keep looking at Sunanda every two minutes. She, meanwhile, kept her smile on. Everybody in the room felt uncomfortable. But the love really showed.”
Contrary to above after reading conflicting tweets between Shashi, Sunanda and Mehr Tarar it seems: Shashi Tharoor’s sexual frustration leads him into an affair with the Mehr Tarar. Shashi Tharoor realised that he cannot live with the mind alone, he must also be alive physically. This realisation stems from a heightened sexual experience Constance has only felt with charming woman other than ill Sunanda, and suggesting that love can only happen with the element of the body, not mind.

Sunanda mystery’s blood splatters falling on 10 Jan path via Moin Qureshi

Tags: 10 Jan path, Moin Qureshi, CBI, Caged Parrot, Hawala, Meat Exporter, Narendra Modi, Shashi TharoorSIT, Sunanda Pushkar, Murder case

Sunanda Pushkar murder case: SIT‘s 11 questions for Shashi Tharoor ready. Among these one is:

Messages to Moin Qureshi Investigators have learnt that there were some messages that were exchanged on phone between Sunanda and the meat exporter and alleged hawala dealer Moin Qureshi.   Although the messages are courteous exchanges, the SIT still wants to know what she had to do with this meat exporter and alleged hawala operative. One message in which Sunanda invites Moin on her and Shashi’s behalf for dinner and his reply saying that he would make it once he is back (from Lahore) are under investigation. The SIT says that these appear to be normal exchanges, but we would dig for more.

Meat exporter Moin Qureshi met CBI chief Ranjit Sinha alias Caged Parrot  90 times in 15 months. According to the source, a former CBI director had rented out his house (C-134, Defence Colony), registered in his mother’s name to Moin Qureshi for office space. The bribe money, which the former CBI director received from a corporate named in 2G case, is allegedly routed by Qureshi via Dubai-London route.

Narendra Modi raised the case at an election rally in Akbarpur on April 18. “Shouldn’t the truth come out?” Modi demanded, hinting at a scandal.

Eight days later, Modi escalated his attack and alleged that conversations of persons who had “close links” with 10 Janpath, the residence of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, figured in the telephone calls intercepted by the income tax department. He also alleged that Qureshi has strong ties with 10 Janpath and other Congress leaders.

Zeenews reported on April 19: The 60-day long raid and survey by the IT dept on alleged Hawala operator and meat exporter Moin Qureshi ended Tuesday exposing links with cabinet ministers and a political leader allegedly very close to 10 Janpath.

Since its first raid on February 16, 2014, the IT department has so far raided arious locations at Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and a farmhouse at Chhatarpur belonging to Moin Qureshi.

Businessman Moin Qureshi has exchanged Blackberry messages with Sunanda Pushkar in 2013, which includes dinner invitation at her house on Lodhi Road in Delhi.

According to Zee Business: A BBM text Sunanda sent on March 17, 2013, reads: “Is everything okay in your factory? we missed you..” “But having another dinner, do come. Hey Naveen, Shashi and I would be delighted if you would join us for dinner at our home, 97, Lodhi Estate, at 8:30 pm on Wednesday. A chance to be convivial before the Parliament recess, Love Sunanda.”

Qureshi, replied, “Thanks, all under control now. Darling, I am in Lahore on March 20. Will meet up when back. Thanks for the invite. Love Moin.”

In another exchange of BBM messages, Qureshi writes on August 21, 2013, “Hope will see you both for dinner at 9 pm at 4 Oak drive.”

Sunanda replied, “Yes, darling see you.”

Another set of transcripts of BBM exchanges in 2012 shows Qureshi lobbying with an Interpol officer to remove names of his two friends from Interpol’s red alert notice. The Interpol Officer, whose name is mentioned as SG in transcripts, replied, “Please send the information to my private email account.” Later in the exchange of texts, Qureshi mentions the two as Allana Shiraz Abdul Razak and Vinod Karnam, whose name is mentioned as CEO.

In 2013, Qureshi exchanged BBMs with Raju Chaddha, younger brother of slain liquor baron Ponty Chaddha, mentioning Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung as family friend.

Zee Business had on Tuesday reported on how BBM texts of Qureshi revealed his deep insights into transfer and postings of CBI officers.

Qureshi wrote, “Dear brother, how are you. I hope all is well. There is a very close friend of mine from India living in Dubai. They have a company in Egypt. They have some problem with the Egypt police and your office had issued a red alert notice of which I will mail you tomorrow morning. Please look into it. It is a ten billion USD.”

AIIMS vs AIIMS: Chapt-9- Accursed & Jihadi Neighbour

Dr Sudhir Gupta, wrote to the Ministry of Health
According to a report in the Times of India, Dr Sudhir Gupta, wrote to the Ministry of Health and the Chief Vigilance Commission alleging he was being pressured to submit a report saying Sunanda Pushkar died a “natural death”. Gupta who was heading the team of forensic experts that conducted the postmortem, claimed he was pressured “by top officials”, says the report.
Page-119
Dr Gupta has claimed that he is now being targeted because he did not bow to the pressure and gave a report stating that Sunanda’s death wascaused by drug poisoning could be both suicidal or homicidal,” TOI reported.
According to a report by Zee News, Dr Gupta claimed he was prevented from telling the truth in his report due to Shashi Tharoor and Ghulam Nabi Azad’s influence. “In order to prove that autopsy report was influenced, Dr Gupta has also submitted details of emails exchanged between AIIMS director and Tharoor. Interestingly, Dr Gupta’s disclosure comes at a time when has been slapped with charges of plagiarism and misconduct,” the report says.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan took notes of the revelations made by Dr Gupta and demanded a report from the AIIMS administration. Dr Gupta, who was appointed as Head of Department (HOD) of the forensic department in 2013, has challenged the promotion granted to Dr OP Murthy and said it was “biased” and “mala fide”.Gupta had reportedly written to AIIMS Director M C Mishra, seeking his permission to interact with the media to clarify his stand on the issue.
Page-120
After the autopsy and before the cremation
On July, Gupta said that he stands by what he said. “I stand by what I said. Even after the autopsy and before the cremation I had said that this was a case of unnatural death. If someone has a problem or slightest doubt over the autopsy report prepared by me, they can go for a second autopsy,” Gupta said.
“We have conducted the post-mortem examination. We have completed the whole procedure,” said Sudhir Kumar Gupta, head of the department of forensic medicine at the AIIMS. “Samples for toxicological analysis, which means ruling out any poison and pathology of the heart, has been preserved by us and it will be tested and analysed by us in the laboratory,” he said.
Page-121
CAT Affidavit sent to the  Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) by Dr. Gupta.
Page-12
According to a report published in a website, Gupta, who was heading the panel that conducted the post-mortem of Sunanda, has filed an affidavit in the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) stating that he was pressurised by former union minister and president of AIIMS Ghulam Nabi Azad to act in an “unprofessional” manner to cover up the matter. Gupta has further claimed that he was not able to state the truth in his report due to the influence of two ex-powerful Cabinet ministers Shashi Tharoor and Azad.
The report quoted the affidavit saying, “(The) applicant could not muster courage of openly placing the facts in black and white as the former president of AIIMS Shri Gulam Nabi Azad was an immensely powerful politician and then the health minister and the husband of late Sunanda Pushkar was also a minister and a powerful politician.”  Gupta in his application has asked CAT to allow him to give his views in sealed envelope.  Interestingly, Dr Gupta’s disclosure comes at a time when has been slapped with charges of plagiarism and misconduct.
Currently, the department is headed by Dr Sudhir Kumar Gupta, who had taken the charge in August, 2013 as Professor and Head of Department.
The tribunal’s order came over the plea of Dr Gupta claiming seniority and challenging the promotion granted to Dr OP Murthy and said it was “biased” and “mala fide”.
Dr Gupta had claimed that former health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor had pressurised him to act in an “unprofessional” manner.
“AIIMS has deliberately and hurriedly prepared and considered the impugned approval at the instance of former president (of the institution) with mala fide intention to illegally punish the applicant herein for refusing to act
un-professionally in Sunanda Pushkar autopsy matter.
“It is submitted that the applicant was asked to prepare tailor-made autopsy report giving clean chit irrespective of his professional conclusions,” the rejoinder filed by Dr Gupta had stated.
Page-123
July 11: AIIMS contradicts Dr. Sudhir Gupta: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Friday told a service tribunal that Dr Sudhir Kumar Gupta, head of its Forensic Medicine Department, was indulging in “publicity gimmick” by levelling charges of being pressured over senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor’s wife Sunanda Pushkar’s autopsy.
AIIMS said that instead of dealing with the main matter of promotion and seniority, Dr Gupta has levelled allegations bringing “negative publicity” to the premier medical body. “Something not related to this case is being used for publicity by Dr Gupta. He is beneficiary of all the selective leaking being done by him,” Mehmood Pracha, counsel for AIIMS said told the Principal Bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).
Rejecting the charge of Sudhir Gupta on Wednesday, the AIIMS said it “categorically denies” his claim. AIIMS spokespersons Amit Gupta and Neerja Bhatla said there was no evidence that any pressure from outside was put on him (Sudhir Gupta) to alter the autopsy report. Gupta had also written to current Health Minister Harsh Vardhan against a government move to promote a faculty member which, he alleged, was started under the then UPA government so that he could be removed as the head of the department as he did not change the post mortem report.
No FIR has been filed in the case since the Delhi Police ruled out the need for one, way back in March. The autopsy report had mentioned more than a dozen injury marks on Sunanda’s both hands and an abrasion on her cheek which suggests a “use of blunt force”, besides a “deep teeth bite” on the edge of her left palm. Viscera samples were preserved after the autopsy at AIIMS and were sent to CFSL for further tests.
Page-124
AIIMS says nobody was pressurised to alter Sunanda’s autopsy report
A statement issued by the AIIMS on Wednesday stated: “The AIIMS administration categorically denies any such allegations that there was any attempt to pressurise Dr Sudhir Gupta to change the post-mortem report.”
Reading out the statement, Dr Neerja Batla, chairperson, media and protocol division, AIIMS, said that the institute had no information about any conversation between the director of AIIMS and Tharoor. “The director is not even aware of any complaint sent to him by Dr Gupta regarding the issue,” she said.
Not ruling out any disciplinary action against the doctor for having brought “untrue allegations” against AIIMS, she added that the decision for that would rest with the administration. “The media cell of the institute has no information and is not aware about any previous inquiry against Dr Gupta on the issue of professional misconduct,” she added.
She said that Dr Gupta is still the head of the forensic department and there is “no reason why he should be scared of joining duty. If he has any evidence or information against anyone to pressurise him to amend Pushkar’s post-mortem report, he is welcome to share it with the administration”.Earlier, the Union health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan had sought a clarification from AIIMS on the allegations made by Dr Gupta.
In his letter to Vardhan, Dr. Sudhir Gupta had alleged that the “malafide” move to oust him from the post of HoD was linked to the post mortem of Pushkar and Nido Tania as he had taken a “professional and ethical” stand which went against “vested interests”.
Tania, who hailed from Arunachal, was beaten to death in January in the capital, sparking huge uproar.
Page-125
The CFSL report
The CFSL report hinted at drug poisoning but its findings were not conclusive enough to file an FIR in the case, according to police. The search and seizure memorandum of the police, which is a part of the report, mentioned finding of mix of two drugs – Alprazolam and Excedrin. Excedrin is a combination of acetaminophen, aspirin, and caffeine while Alprazolam is an anxiolytic.
Viscera and toxicology tests
Amazingly, the viscera and toxicology tests conducted at the government forensic laboratory ultimately ruled out poisoning or drug overdose as the cause of death. The toxicology report said it found no traces of drugs in Pushkar’s system, though all but three of the Alprax strips had been found to be empty. The report said that Sunanda Pushkar consumed 2-3 tablets a day, which was normal, and the death could have been due to cardiac arrest due to a variety of factors, including Pushkar’s stressful lifestyle. The paradox between the AIIMS findings and those of the government laboratory have not been explained fully.
Injuries
Moreover, the forensic laboratory did not cooperate with AIIMS when asked about the viscera reports.  Also, the Delhi Police has also not investigated into the injury marks on Sunanda Pushkar’s hands and the ‘abrasion on her cheek’ as well as a ‘deep teeth bite’ on her left palm.  The most interesting mystery however is of the ‘injury mark no 10’, an injection mark on Pushkar’s wrist, which could not be accounted for, according to the report.
Page-126
Revealing that Sunanda’s body bore some marks of external injuries and bruises, Dr Sudhir Gupta, head of the forensic sciences department, All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) said that “the injuries might not be the cause of death”. (Source Deccan Chronicle of Jan 19)
Why it was said that injuries were not the cause of death?
Was dual ministers pressured him for saying this?
There are chances that the affidavit submitted by Dr Gupta to the central administrative tribunal will also be a part of investigation.
It is learnt that the Home Minister Rajnath Singh talked to the Delhi police commissioner BS Bassi on July 3, so that he could be briefed about the case. Bassi informed Singh of all the developments so far.
The AIIMS team has sought details of her treatment.
The medical board at Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), where Sunanda was admitted for treatment earlier in the week, said she was not diagnosed with “any serious medical condition which might have caused her immediate death”.
The KIMS vice-chairman, renowned cardiologist G. Vijayaraghavan, told media in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday that Sunanda Pushkar had been admitted to KIMS on January 12 afternoon for a “complete medical check-up” and that she had been discharged on January 14.
Contrary to the statement of Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Union minister Shashi Tharoor’s friend T.P. Sreenivasan said Sunanda Pushkar was suffering from a serious ailment.
Sreenivasan told this newspaper that Tharoor had informed him about Sunanda’s disease. She had taken treatment in France and it was found that she had a serious medical condition.
Page-127
He was quite worried about Sunanda’s health and I pacified him.  I mentioned to him two cases one of a 26 year old woman, suffering from same ailment, who died suddenly as the infection led to renal failure. Another case was of a patient who lived with the disease for 65 to 70 years of age.’’
The former diplomat said despite being unwell, Sunanda was always full of life. “I met her last at the UAE consulate inauguration function here on January 11. She was cheerful. Whenever we met, I used to inquire about health and she used to laugh it away. Sometimes even recite a couplet in Hindi or a Urdu shayari — Jo hoga dekha jaayega — ,’’ he recollected.
While Sreenivasan declined to divulge the details of Sunanda’s ailment, there have been media reports that she was suffering from suspected systemic Lupus erythematosus.
Medical experts say that lupus may not always show prominent signs externally. The major cause of death in longstanding lupus is accelerated atherosclerosis leading to cardio vascular disease.
There exists a lethal combination of lupus and depression, claim medical experts. The decreasing immunity in the body does make a person swing from extreme hypersensitivity to feeling low.
Sunanda Pushkar, deceased wife of Union minister Shashi Tharoor, suffered from lupus, a connective tissue disorder. The heart, lungs, kidney are connected via tissues and it is here that the immunity of the body is attacked. The first attack is on the kidney. The heart is attacked last, said doctors.
This is a battle that goes on within the body. The condition is incurable but treatable. Once diagnosed the person has to be on steroids and pain killers lifelong. Drugs are prescribed for side-effects of medicines and depression arising because of the constant pain in the body.
A senior doctor explained, “It is a fatal disease as the body is subjected to immuno-suppressors which have side effects. Some people put on weight, while others go into deep bouts of depression since there is too much pain in the body.” Early diagnoses can help an individual to live with the disease but usually a person lives for about five years or less.
Page-128
Experts claim that 25 per cent of the total population suffers from this disease and it can strike at any age. The exact cause of the immune system attacking its healthy cells is not known.
Medical experts say that lupus may not always show prominent signs externally. The major cause of death in longstanding lupus is accelerated atherosclerosis leading to cardio vascular disease.
Question mark on the extra-marital affair and suffering from a major ailment!
*
Ghulam Nabi Azad
Breaking his silence, former Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Saturday July 5 rubbished claims of the head of AIIMS’ forensic medicine department that he was pressured to manipulate the autopsy report of Sunanda Pushkar and questioned Sudhir Gupta’s credibility, saying he can “shoot his mouth off anytime against anybody”.
“Can I even think of such a stupid thing? Media knows me, entire country knows what kind of person Ghulam Nabi Azad is…I can’t even think of doing such a criminal thing,” Azad told reporters at Congress headquarters.
Citing newspaper reports over certain allegations levelled against Gupta in past by his colleagues and superiors, the senior Congress leader questioned his credibility.
*
Shashi Tharoor
Shashi Tharoor evades questions on Sunanda Pushkar’s autopsy row
After the controversy re-erupted, former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor on Wednesday refused to answer media queries on the allegations made in the autopsy case of his wife Sunanda Pushkar.
CPI-M leader VS Achutanandan had said that Congress leaders should answer why no complaint has been registered against union minister Shashi Tharoor in connection with his wife Sunanda Pushkar’s mysterious death.
Page-129
Vik at social media on Jan 18: Why is police not treating Shashi tharoor as a suspect? He had motive, opportunity and means to commit murder didnt he ? Its very illogical that shashi seems to have been ruled out and aiims doctors are coming up with vague proclamations about the autopsy. Its murder if its not suicide or natural death or what does unnatural mean ? Did she stangle herself to death?
Furthermore, Tharoor had added a while later that he was unhappy with the pace of the probe into Pushkar’s death. In a statement that could seem controversial now, Tharoor had said that it seems increasingly that Sundanda (52) died due to “health related” issues and it is also “increasingly clear” that there was no basis to take the case much further. Given Sudhir Gupta sensational charge of Tharoor’s ministerial colleague influencing the autopsy report, this statement from Tharoor is interesting.
Up to investigators to sort it out: Tharoor on post-mortem row
Refusing to comment on the controversy stirred by a senior AIIMS forensic doctor’s allegation that he was pressured to manipulate the post mortem report of his wife Sunanda Pushkar, Shashi Tharoor merely said that it was up to the investigators “to sort it out”.
“It is a process, we will leave it to investigators to sort out,” Tharoor told reporters.
Asked what he would say on AIIMS’ forensic department’s head Dr Sudhir Gupta’s allegations, Tharoor only said, “Nothing to say about anything about that person.”
Dr. Harksh Vardhan
Dr. Sudhir Gupta, head of forensic sciences at AIIMS, has filed an affidavit, accessed by Aaj Tak, in the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) claiming that he was ‘pressured’ by former Union minister and president of AIIMS, Ghulam Nabi Azad, to act in an ‘unprofessional’ manner to cover up the matter.
Page-130
“(The) applicant could not muster courage of openly placing the facts in black and white as the former president of AIIMS Ghulam Nabi Azad was an immensely powerful politician and the then health minister, and the husband of late Sunanda Pushkar was also a minister and a powerful politician,” the affidavit stated.
Gupta, who was heading the panel that conducted Sunanda’s postmortem, has asked in his application to CAT to allow him to give his views in sealed envelope. To buttress his point, Gupta submitted details of emails exchanged between AIIMS director and Tharoor.
Incidentally, Gupta’s disclosure comes at a point of time when he was slapped with charges of plagiarism and misconduct.
On his part, Gupta has alleged that there was a conspiracy to oust him as the head of the department just three days before the new NDA government was formed. In his letter to the Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, challenging promotion of Dr O.P. Murty as professor, alleging it violated AIIMS rule, Gupta claimed that the AIIMS authorities had an agenda to oust him for his role in the post-mortem of Sunanda and Nido Tania because he had “taken a professional and ethical stand which went against vested interests of certain persons in AIIMS.”
Page-131
Sunanda’s death: Tharoor sent two emails to Dr Gupta
Former Union minister Shashi Tharoor had reportedly forwarded two emails, detailing some pertinent health issues that his wife Sunanda Pushkar had, to Dr Sudhir Gupta who conducted the autopsy on her body at AIIMS.
Dr Gupta, head of the forensic science department at AIIMS, has annexed these emails to the copy of his petition to the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) questioning his non-promotion at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
HT has accessed the affidavit filed by Dr Gupta and also has copies of the two emails which were apparently forwarded to him by Tharoor after Sunanda’s death.
The first among these emails was sent to Tharoor by Dr. Rajeev Bhasin, a family physician, on January 26 and the second by a child specialist practising in Dubai on February 12 — who claimed that he had been Pushkar’s family friend.
Page-132
Both emails suggest that Pushkar could have indeed died due to natural causes and detailed her medical history. The two emails also seem to justify two contentious facts about Pushkar’s medical condition — that she was apparently susceptible to bruises on her skin and that an overdose of alprax tablets could cause death in her condition.
“If she had no food over three days and only coconut water,” one of the emails stated, “which has a very high content of potassium could have elevated her serum potassium levels and possibly slowed her heart rate.”
“In addition, if she took alprax, it could have contributed to the slowing down of her heart rate and made it possibly difficult for her to call for help,” one of the mails said.
The other email, sent by Dr. Anil Gupta from the Cooper Health Clinic in Dubai, UAE, explained some “medical issues in her life”.
Page-133
“She told me she had lupus and was consulting a lupus expert,” the email said. Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body).
“She used to bruise easily and we have discussed this several times in passing. A mere injection for blood test or bumping into a piece of furniture could result in visible bruising. I am concerned as bruising on her body is being discussed as inflicted in the media,” the email said.
Sunanda’s alleged murder link to UPA Cabinet Ministers
A quote from the affidavit reads as follows, ‘(The) applicant could not muster courage of openly placing the facts in black and white as the former president of AIIMS Shri Gulam Nabi Azad was an immensely powerful politician and then the health minister and the husband of late Sunanda Pushkar was also a minister and a powerful politician’
Jitender Bhargava @JitiBhargava @SrBachchan @suhelseth (Late) Russi Mody’s quote as Air India Chairman: “I want to be azad, and he (Ghulam Nabi Azad) wants me to be his ghulam”.
Adding a new twist into the matter, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan sought report from AIIMS on these allegations that post-mortem report of Shashi Tharoor’s wife Sunanda Pushkar were doctored.
The government today sought a detailed report from the AIIMS on the reported allegation by a senior forensic doctor that he was pressurised to manipulate the report of the autopsy of Sunanda Pushkar, wife of former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor. “After I became the Health Minister, Dr Sudhir Gupta of AIIMS had written to our department regarding his promotion. But after TV channels yesterday said that he has made a specific allegation, I have written to the AIIMS Director seeking a detailed information in this regard,” Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said. While in the opposition, the BJP had demanded a CBI enquiry into Sunanda Pushkar’s death, after the government laboratory ruled out drug overdose playing a part in her death. Sunanda was found dead in a 5-star hotel in South Delhi on the night of January 17, a day after her twitter spat with Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar over an alleged affair with Tharoor.
Page-134
Injection
The sensational claim by head of forensic department at AIIMS, Dr Sudhir Gupta, that he was pressurised to fabricate the autopsy report of former union minister Shashi Tharoor’s wife, Sunanda Pushkar, once again raises doubts on the unexplained injection mark on her right wrist.” Sunanda’s body had 15 injuries, all of them caused over a span of 12 hours before her death. Injury number 12 was caused by a teeth bite. All the injuries “were caused by blunt force, simple in nature and not contributing to death, except injury number 10, which is an injection mark,” reads the report. After Dr Gupta’s statement, union health minister Harsh Vardhan has sought a detailed report from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. The hospital administration has refuted Dr Gupta’s claims. Dr Gupta headed the team of forensic experts that
Swamy in his letter to PM said the death has been “hanging fire till today” and that the “FIR registered in the matter has not been acted upon and the final report has yet to be filed”.
In his letter, he mentioned the post mortem report, which had stated that Pushkar had 12 major injuries on her body and forearm. Swamy said “it seemed like an injection” was administered to her.
It further said an affidavit filed in the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) by Gupta has fully re-opened the issue. “Hence in these circumstances, a SIT inquiry should be set up on your direction.”
Swamy said that he could file a petition seeking a probe by the Supreme Court into Pushkar’s death.

“I am going to file a petition in Sunanda Pushkar death probe by the end of July,” the BJP leader Swamy further added.
Dr Subramanian Swamy has termed Sunanda Pushkar’s death as murder since the event took place and the doctors at AIIMS declared it as unnatural death. Dr Swamy had alleged that Pushkar was killed using some Russian poison. The scars found on Pushkar’s body in the post-mortem report further helped his charges.
The probe into the case was handed over to the crime branch on January 23 however, the case was transferred back to the South District Police two days later on January 25. Inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC were initiated in the Sunanda case according to which Sub Divisional Magistrate inquires in to the death of a woman if she dies within seven years of her marriage.
To Whom It May Concern: The seal of confession must never be broken. However, it may be possible that the person, who confessed, may require the penitent to promise to turn himself in before granting absolution. But under no circumstances is the person who confessed, allowed to reveal this confession to anyone.
Secrets are deadly. They destroy trust, intimacy and love. They destroy authenticity and transparency. They destroy our self-esteem and self-respect. They can be the death of our dreams and success. I’m talking about the secrets you keep such that if anyone knew about this secret, you fear you would be rejected, ridiculed, destroyed.
It’s time to unburden you and come clean. Share a secret with a trusted friend. Or if that seems super scary, create a safe place, a place where no one knows your business. A place where you can unload your burden and leave what you want to leave behind.
Quoted in the Sunday Mirror, Keeler says: ‘I know the truth and it is far more shocking than what the public has been fed by the British Establishment. Sex was a game – spying was a serious business. ‘Far better that the, Establishment be caught with its pants down than involved in stealing secrets. That was the thinking.’
Page-136
Daily Mail reported on June 9, 2013:  Fifty years after the Profumo affair erupted, Christine Keeler, now 71, has confessed she played a role in a high-placed spy ring.Keeler claims she helped her friend, osteopath Stephen Ward – whose clients included Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor – uncover secrets about missile movements in the West that were later passed to the Soviets.
Keeler said her spying had begun in 1961, before she even met Profumo. She says Ward asked her to deliver an envelope to the Russian Embassy in London. He told her Yevgeny Ivanov was expecting it for their bridge game. But Keeler is now convinced she unwittingly helped pass on secrets that could have ultimately harmed the country.

Mysterious Death of Sunanda- Chapt-8- Accursed & Jihadi Neighbour

Sunanda Pushkar’s Death: A Case With Long Ghost Hands: While the circumstances in which Dr Gupta has revealed this piece of information in front of CAT maybe debatable, there is a little element of surprise in the news. The reason is simple: Pushkar had given a clear warning to everyone before her death. The death of Pushkar was sudden and mysterious. When the report of her death early morning on January 17 flashed on the television channels, the couple was courting a huge controversy.
Mail Today reported: At least three people were present at different times on Wednesday Jan 15 evening with Sunanda Pushkar in room 307 of the Leela Palace. After an ugly spat with husband, junior HRD minister Shashi Tharoor in the aircraft on Wednesday Jan 15 afternoon,
Sunanda refused to accompany him to his Lodhi Estate residence on arrival in Delhi. Instead she booked herself at the Leela. This is the friend’s account: After landing at Delhi airport on a flight from Thiruvananthapuram with Shashi Tharoor, Sunanda refused to go to the Tharoors’ government bungalow in Lodhi Estate. This paper had earlier The two had been arguing in the aircraft as well at the airport.
Sunanda went straight to the Leela Palace hotel and booked herself into room 307, not suite number 345, as was earlier believed. In the evening a close friend, who is also Kashmiri and lives in south Delhi, allegedly came to assuage and calm her.  They were then joined by a prominent former CEO, also a close friend, who spent a couple of hours in the room, trying to reason with her.
Soon after this, another friend of Sunanda’s came. This friend soon realised that the situation was out of control, and moved into the room.
The other two friends left after some time. In the presence of this friend, an agitated Sunanda allegedly called up Mehr Tarar, the Pakistani journalist who she had accused of having an affair with Shashi. She continued to chain-smoke through the night and was nervous and stressed.

She continued to chain-smoke through the night and was nervous and stressed. Soon after, Shashi came to the room and was “contrite and apologetic”. But her rage was such that she refused to listen to him.
The next day, he also booked two rooms, number 345 – the suite Sunanda was ultimately found dead in – and number 342 for his staff.
Sunanda, one friend says, then began to feel a little less agitated and at around 2:30 on Friday morning, ordered a mushroom soup for herself and a burger for her friend. Sensing that Sunanda was feeling better, the friend left for the airport around 5am. That was the last time this person saw Sunanda alive. (Source Daily Mail of Jan 22 and India Today)

According to a police source, Narayan who held from kerala told them that he had travelled with the couple to Thiruvananthapuram on January 10. There, Sunanda had been admitted to the Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS). On January 15, the couple returned to Delhi. The couple also had an argument during Thiruvananthapuram-Delhi flight which continued even after they reach Delhi.
This open display of differences between the couple, sources said, was seen by that time I & B minister Manish Tewari, who sat across the aisle from the couple. Tewari boarded the flight at Mumbai where he had attended a function.
Mr Tharoor’s assistant, Abhinav Kumar, informed the police at around 9 pm that Mrs Tharoor had been found dead in leela hotel room no. 345 of third floor, show severe bruises. Kumar said, Tharoor believed his wife was sleeping in bed, and he inquiried from the hotel staff, since when was Sunanda sleeping. Tharoor immediately called me over phone, he added. Central Forensic Science Laboratory team reached the hotel around 10:30 PM and immediately swung into action.
Kumar told reporters at the hotel that Tharoor and Pushkar were staying in a suite since yesterday Jan 16 as some painting work was on at home.
The Minister was away throughout the day in the AICC meeting which ended at 5pm, he came back between 8:15 pm and 8:30 pm.
Page-106
According to police sources, Narayan, one of the attendants, who was present in Sunanda’s suite on Friday few hours before Sunanda died had told police that the deceased had not been eating properly and would sip only coconut water and smoke cigarettes. She took recourse to Hindi songs, tweeted sad songs before death.
Narayan told Police that he went to her hotel room at 6 am, and at 7:30 am Shashi Tharoor left saying he  was going to attend the AICC meet at Talkatora stadium, though the meeting was scheduled at 10 am.  “At 10 am, according to Narayanan, the driver came to the hotel room with an unknown man. At that time, the CCTV on the third floor of the hotel was not working, though the CCTV was active on other floors. All these are matters for investigation”, said Dr Swamy in Aap ki Adalat.
Narayan told police that he had left the suite in the morning. He further informed that he and Bajrangi, who is also Shashi’s driver, had called out to Sunanda on Friday at around 4 pm and again at 5pm. “We called out to Madam, Since she didn’t respond, we assumed she was asleep. Then we called sahab (Shashi Tharoor) and told him that she wasn’t opening the door,” Narayan told police.
The minister returned from the AICC session at around 8 pm, asked the hotel staff to open the bedroom with a master key. When he entered the room, he found her dead and called a doctor
According to the police officer, Narayan told them that he had travelled with the couple to Thiruvananthapuram on January 10. Sunanda had been admitted to the Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS). On January 15, the couple returned to Delhi. The officer said Narayan claimed Sunanda did not return home to Lodhi Estate with Tharoor and checked into the hotel the same Jan 15.
The next day (Jan 16), Tharoor came to the hotel and checked into another room. The couple later moved into the suite. Narayan said he was in the anteroom when he heard the couple arguing on Thursday night, the officer said, adding that all these statements were still being verified with independent sources including hotel records:
Page-107
According to Sunanda Pushkar’s close friend Nalini Singh, a journalist, and domestic help Narayan Singh, Tharoor had extra marital relations with several other women. When Pushkar came to know about it, differences between the husband-wife started brewing and their relations got strained. She was extremely depressed and angry.
Nalini told investigators that Pushkar wanted her help in retrieving some BBM messages exchanged between Tharoor and Tarar. According to the statements made before investigators, Tharoor met Tarar in Dubai in June 2013. They stayed together at a hotel there for three days. Sunanda Pushkar’s friends have given the police evidence to establish their claims.
According to a statement by senior journalist Nalini Singh, recorded before a subdivisional magistrate (SDM), the couple had been squabbling for a week before Pushkar’s death and had also got into scuffles over Tharoor’s alleged affair with Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar.
Habitual offender to throw one wife to adopt another: Romance in Dubai to make alleged ISI agent Mehr Tarar his 4th wife
NAIndia reported: Tharoor’s spouse,Canadian arms control expert Christa Giles, was a huge advantage to him in New York and in Delhi, especially in opening doors to the literary and art circles so favoured by Sonia Gandhi. It was a definite advantage for Tharoor to have a foreign wife, especially a lady as educated and accomplished as Christa. What few in Delhi knew at the time Tharoor was being considered for a parliamentary seat in 2008 was that his relationship with his wife was breaking down.
Soon afterwards, and in almost as total secrecy, he began a friendship with a charming young widow in Dubai, Sunanda, who is Kashmiri. Only when Indian Premier League boss Lalit Modi was about to “out” the Tharoor-Sunanda link, the minister’s office released titbits on his Dubai connection, who had been given “sweat equity” worth $15 million by a Kochi consortium that won the IPL bidding, beating Ahmedabad.
Page-108
Question is also raised on Hasiba B Amin’s picture with Shashi Tharoor. Photo with any leader is not bad. But it became controversial when there is a series of suspected activities happened. Many tweeters objected naming ‘Tharoor’ with ‘Sunanda’ because her last wish was to be separate from IPL accused and newly lover of alleged ISI agent Mehr Tarar.  A senior doctor at AIIMS said Sunanda Pushkar could have died between 1 pm and 7 pm on Friday. The three member team that conducted the autopsy collected tissue samples from her body and sent it for a toxicological analysis and other tests to get more clarity on the cause of death.
 * Days after her death, Sudhir Kumar Gupta, head of forensic medicine at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), who was part of the three member team that conducted the autopsy, said, “After post-mortem examination, we found it was a case of sudden unnatural death.”
Revealing that Sunanda’s body bore some marks of external injuries and bruises, Dr Sudhir Gupta, head of the forensic sciences department, All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) said that “the injuries might not be the cause of death”.
Why it was said that injuries were not the cause of death?
Was dual ministers pressured him for saying this?
In an interview to a TV news channel, Headlines Today, Subramanian Swamy maintained that “credible sources” told him that there were bruises on the body “from belly up”, and “it seemed that someone had held her nostrils so that her mouth was open”. He added there was evidence that her blood stream had traces of lethal poison of Russian origin. He claimed that all the photographs of Sunanda’s body, which were taken by the police, were destroyed.
Page-109
Doctors have preserved viscera, blood samples and portions of certain vital organs, including the heart, for a histopathology. The final report will be handed over to the police in the next two days.
“The viscera samples include portions of her heart, lungs, liver, kidney, hair, and portions of the skin that bore injury marks,” AIIMS spokesperson Amit Gupta said.
The caretaker also said that the injury marks on Pushkar’s body could be due to a physical struggle.
India legal rightly raised questions:
* Why was the probe handed over to the local police, and not the Crime Branch?
* Why was Tharoor’s mobile taken away, but was hurriedly returned even before the case was closed?
* If she had taken an overdose of drugs, why did the police not find any medicine bottle or foil of tablets in the room?
* How come in a five star hotel room there was nothing that the police found, not even a bottle of water?
*What did the close circuit television system of the hotel show? Was it in working condition?
India legal published following photographs taken after she died. If we look carefully we can see injury marks on her wrist, chin, neck and other parts of her upper body. These bruises throw up enough questions to justify a more detailed investigation into her death
Why was Sunanda Pushkar cremated in hurry within 24 hours, though the Delhi-police still awaits the visceral report? Subramanian Swamy also doubt on this?
Page-110
Subramanian Swamy said that it was rare in criminal jurisprudence that the body of a person, who died in ‘mysterious’ circumstances, was cremated within 24 hours. He wanted the doctors who had performed the post mortem to be made witnesses by the police.
Swamy had then questioned Tharoor’s nervousness regarding his wife’s death, even as the Delhi Police investigation was in progress.

According to the Lt. Governor of Delhi’s rules, an autopsy has to be conducted by a three-member expert group each belonging to three different institutions to avoid any conflict of interest, in cases like these. But in this case, the autopsy panel was headed by Sudhir Kumar Gupta, professor and head of department forensic medicine, and included Adarsh Kumar, assistant professor, and Shashank Pooniya, senior resident; all from AIIMS.
There were severe bruises on parts of her body and face, pictures of which were taken immediately after she was found dead. Since there were no eyewitnesses, and none have come forward until now, police investigations revolved around circumstantial evidence, forensics, and medical reports. The most crucial among them was the post-mortem report by AIIMS, the state-funded hospital in New Delhi.
The manner of Pushkar’s autopsy has been in total contravention of the ascribed norms. But the city police is always known to be rather comfortable in constructing a tailor made report from panel members from one hospital rather than take a complex one and raise fresh issues for the case to get prolonged.
It must be noted also that the cases where post-mortems were conducted by members of different institutions had changed the whole case and the lead itself. For example, when autopsy was conducted on Anju Illyasi, wife of TV journalist Suhaib Illyasi, in 2000, the panel members came to the conclusion that the knife wounds were not inflicted by the deceased. This fact at once shifted the track of investigations.
Page-111
There is enough circumstantial evidence to negate the possibility that Pushkar’s death was not due to suicide or even a drug overdose. Hours before her death she had tweeted that she had several health issues and that she would die with joy and smile on her face. Apart from Kanwal, she had also called journalists Barkha Dutt of NDTV and Nalini Singh. Even if she wanted to commit suicide, why would she do so without talking to one or all of them?
Tweet: Subramanian Swamy @Swamy39
Will file the PIL on Sunanda murder next week
11:00 AM – 23 Jul 2014
Dr Subramanian Swamy has termed Sunanda Pushkar’s death as murder since the event took place and the doctors at AIIMS declared it as unnatural death. Dr Swamy had alleged that Pushkar was killed using some Russian poison. The scars found on Pushkar’s body in the post-mortem report further helped his charges. Dr Swamy alleged that in order to prevent Sunanda Pushkar from exposing the underworld links and illegal money laundering in the high-profile cricket league Indian Premier League (IPL), she was put to rest by the Dubai Mafia.
Police investigators had said it could be a case of drug overdose or overdose of sleeping pills but added that things would be clear only after the detailed autopsy report was read.
They recovered two strips of alprax drug from her hotel room.
“The huge quantity of consumption of such drug may affect functioning of brain and leads to a comatose situation,” said a police officer.
A police source said she often took sleeping pills. The cops claimed to have found Alprax tablets from her room number 345. Alprax is a prescription medicine given for nervous disorders.
Page-112
Sunanda Pushkar death: Experts say she would have needed 225 tablets to kill herself
According to leading independent forensic expert, Dr K.L. Sharma, “A person of her weight need to consume more than 225 tablets to cause death.”Dr N.P.Singh, Professor, Medicine, said, “It is unlikely that overdose could cause death… people survive even if a patient takes 100 times more dosage and it is unlikely that a person would die despite systemic lupus erythematosis.” Source India Today of Jan 21  (Autopsy says Sunanda Pushkar died of a drug overdose, no clean chit to Shashi Tharoor yet )
The experts also say that it needs to ascertained as to whether Sunanda was taking the medicine on the doctors’ prescription of on her own. They say that histopathologic tests must be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of her death. The police had earlier found some used strips of Alprax inside the hotel room where Sunanda Pushkar had been found dead.
Doctors say in most cases patients with such overdose survive if rushed to hospital in time. Unfortunately in Sunanda’s case, sources say rigor mortis had set in the body by the time it was taken to the hospital.
Earlier, in their autopsy report, AIIMS forensic experts had said that Sunanda died of poisoning, but had shied away from clarifying what kind of poisoning. They also said that her body had injury marks but, again, had not specified what kind of injury marks were seen on her body during the autopsy. (Did Sunanda commit suicide by consuming 30 sleeping pills? )
Experts say that only the viscera examination might not be enough to ascertain how she died of poisoning. They say that an incomplete autopsy will be futile and unless histopathology is done it will be difficult to find out how she died. This examination will ascertain her exact cause of death… what kind of poision was there… Did her body react adversely to any medicine due to some inherent ailment or not: (Source India Today Jan 22)

(10) IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi revealed that Tharoor’s friend (later his wife) Sunanda Pushkar had equity stakes in Rendezvous Sports World (RSW), heading the consortium that owns the Kochi team. It was later disclosed that Pushkar got sweat equity of the value of Rs 70 crore. Shashi Tharoor maintained that the amount had nothing to do with his active campaigning and mentoring for the Kochi team. This was less convincing as he had specifically mentioned that he had no specific gains from RSW winning Kochi Franchisee. The Prime minister Manmohan Singh later demanded his resignation.
(11) If not Jaipur Literature Festival then why was attending of Congress Mega Conclave?
Sunanda Tharoor had reportedly contacted the hotel staff at about 3.30 pm on Friday to order lunch.
At about 8 pm, Mr Tharoor had tweeted that he would not attend the Jaipur Literature Festival that began on Friday because his wife was unwell.
Mr Tharoor returned at about 8:30 pm after spending the day at a mega-conclave organised by his Congress Party, the Congress. When his wife did not open the door to the bedroom of her suite no 345, he asked the hotel staff to help him enter the room, only to find her lying dead on the bed.
* According to the Press Trust of India, Mr Tharoor’s assistant, Abhinav Kumar, informed the police at around 9 pm that Mrs Tharoor had been found dead.

In a significant development, the probe into the mysterious death of Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Union Minister Shashi Tharoor, was on Thursday transfered to the elite Crime Branch of Delhi Police, reflecting the complexities in the high-profile case.
Photo- dharmendrkr and SDM Alok Sharma
The probe has been handed over to Crime Branch two days after a sub-divisional magistrate directed the police to investigate the murder or suicide angles in the case.
“We will proceed in the case as per law,” said Special Commissioner (Crime) Dharmendra Kumar.
Sources said the case has been transferred considering its ‘sensitive nature’ and ‘complexities’ involved.
Asked whether Crime Branch will question Tharoor and 11 other people who had already given their statement to the SDM, Kumar said a decision in this regard will be taken after examining the case details.
The case was earlier handled by the South district police. It had questioned a number of staff of Leela Palace hotel in Chanakyapuri where Sunanda was found dead.
On Tuesday, sub-divisional magistrate Alok Sharma in his report had concluded ‘poisoning’ as the reason for Sunanda’s death and asked the police to investigate the case ‘thoroughly’.
52-year-old Sunanda was found dead in a 5-star hotel in South Delhi on Friday night, a day after her twitter spat with Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar over an alleged affair with Tharoor.
*
“I have ordered the Delhi Police to further probe the mysterious death of Sunanda Pushkar as she is found to have died due to poisoning,” Alok Sharma, the SDM of Vasant Vihar, told Mail Today.
The police have also seized all mails exchanged between Tharoor and Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar.

ISources said a suicide note has not been found.
In a report to the police, SDM, who has recorded the statements of Sunanda’s brother, son, Tharoor and his staff, said that no family member suspected any foul play in the death.
The couple’s driver, Bajrang, told the police that Tharoor had an argument with Sunanda on Thursday evening. He told the police that the couple also had arguments during their recent stay in Thiruvananthapuram.
A crime branch team also visited the luxury hotel in connection with the case and questioned hotel staff. The police is also examining the telephone call details of the couple and the hotel’s CCTV camera footage.
* Typical of Bina Ramani, said people who knew her, to be so worried about saving her own skin first. A family friend of the Lalls, who was at the Apollo hospital at the time, recalled: “She then told Sabrina and her parents to forget about what had happened. She said, Jessica won’t come back, and advised them to forget about everything. ‘You don’t know the people you are up against. They are rich and dangerous. You will not achieve anything.’ I was shocked.”
That time owner of Tamarind bar now fashion designer Bina Ramani said, “It wasn’t sustenance that Sunanda wanted from Tharoor. Her personal assets, duly listed on the PMO website, include 12 apartments in Dubai, one in Canada, real estate in Jammu, jewellery and designer watches worth Rs 7 crore and an equal sum in bank deposits. At last count, she was worth Rs 113 crore apart from an unevaluated sword, an artefact all the way from Mughal emperor Humayun’s reign.”

Timeline Here is a timeline of the events that unfolded since Pushkar’s death:
January 17, 2014: Sunanda Pushkar, wife of former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor, found dead under mysterious circumstances in suite no 345 of Hotel Leela Palace in New Delhi. While police suspected she might have committed suicide, the possibility of medicine overdose was not ruled out since Pushkar was undergoing medical treatment. Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC were initiated in the Sunanda case according to which a sub-divisional magistrate inquires into the death of a woman if she dies within seven years of her marriage.
January 19: The doctors who conducted postmortem on Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor at AIIMS said it appeared to be a case of “sudden, unnatural death”, and that she had “certain injuries on the body”. The autopsy report of Sunanda was learnt to have said that she died due to “poisoning” and neither confirmed nor ruled out suicide. The autopsy board included two other doctors, additional professor of forensic medicine Dr Adarsh Kumar and a senior resident in the department, Dr Shashank Puniya. The autopsy report had mentioned more than a dozen injury marks on Sunanda’s hands and an abrasion on her cheek which suggests a “use of blunt force”, besides a “deep teeth bite” on the edge of her left palm. Although “nominal traces” of the anti-anxiety drug Alprazolam were found, there were “no findings suggestive of drug overdose”.
January 19: Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), where Sunanda Tharoor had undergone treatment from January 12 to 14, said that she was not diagnosed with any life-threatening disease. KIMS Hospital director and cardiologist Dr G Vijayaraghavan said Pushkar was not diagnosed with any serious medical condition that could cause immediate death.
January 21: The subdivisional magistrate (SDM) who was heading the inquest said that Sunanda died of poisoning. In his report, the SDM has said that Sunanda has died of poisoning and has asked police to probe the cause of poisoning. Alok Sharma, the SDM has also asked the police to specifically probe the murder/suicide angle. The SDM, in his report, had said Sunanda could have died in “just three ways, homicidal, suicidal and accidental” and police should investigate further to ascertain the reason of her death. The SDM said under section 176 of CrPC his job

detailed report on the specific allegations levelled by a doctor, who headed the panel that conducted the post-mortem on Sunanda Pushkar.
July 02: Sunanda Pushkar’s husband and former Union minister Shashi Tharoor demanded a “clear and definitive conclusion” to the case. In a statement on Facebook, the Congress leader asserted that he had been, since the beginning, demanding thorough, rapid and transparent investigation into the case, adding that he had cooperated with the authorities fully.
July 02: With a senior AIIMS forensic doctor reportedly alleging that he was pressurised to manipulate the autopsy report of Sunanda Pushkar,Delhi Police said it will “examine” him and former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor if needed.
