Indian Medical Association’s monthly medical education seminar from 16 January

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Raipur, through its academic wing Academy of Medical Sciences (IMA-AMS), is organizing monthly continuing medical education (CME) seminars on Saturday 16 January 2021. The recently elected President of IMA, Dr. Vikas Aggarwal said that IMA strives to continuously upgrade the knowledge and skills of its members and this monthly seminar on a particular subject is one way to achieve the goal. Secretary Dr. Asha Jain said that on the second Saturday of every month, a thematic discussion will be held on a special topic by speakers of national repute by IMA members to update their knowledge. Topics for discussion will be communicated to members through the press and electronic media. Dr. Prof. Alok C. Aggarwal, President of Academy of Medical Sciences further stated that with the increase in the knowledge of IMA members, the society at large is going to benefit and the Academy fulfills this objective of IMA. IMA-AMS Organizing Secretary Dr. Smit Srivastava described the topic of discussion for the month as ‘general dilemma in heart patients’. Dr. Professor GS Vander, Head of Department of Cardiology at DMC Medical College Ludhiana, will deliver lectures on heart disease and care in patients recovering from Corona. Dr. Prannoy Anil Jain of Ram Krishna Care Hospital will discuss the common question of which patients need coronary angioplasty and which patients need open heart bypass surgery.
