Collector gave 50 thousand rupees for treatment of Lokesh suffering from Thalassemia

Collector Dr. S. Bharatidasan has given a financial assistance of Rs 50,000 from the red cross item for the treatment of Lokesh Sahu, the 8-year-old son of Mahendra Kumar Sahu of village Bancharoda. Lokesh’s bone marrow transplant affected by thalassemia is going to be done at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Delhi. It is noteworthy that children affected by Thalassemia need to be given blood every 15 days. Such children can be freed from this disease through a bone marrow transplant. Lokesh’s father applied to the Collector Office for financial assistance. In this regard, the voluntary organization Koi Apna Sa Ho Foundation also sought help from the Collector. The Collector, while showing his sensitivity in terms of financial difficulties of Mahendra Kumar Sahu and his son’s treatment and life preservation in this difficult time, approved an amount of Rs 50 thousand. A check for this amount was handed over to Mahendra Kumar Sahu today. During this, Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat was also present.
