Narendra Modi on Friday will release the 8th installment of Rs 19,000 crore financial benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme to benefit more than 9.5 lakh farmers. The Prime Minister will release the installments through video conferencing at 11 am. A statement issued from the Prime Minister’s Office said, “With the installment, more than Rs. 19,000 crore will be transferred to more than 9.5 crore beneficiary farmer families.

“The Prime Minister will also interact with the farmers beneficiaries during the event. The Union Minister of Agriculture will also be present on the occasion. While giving information about this, Narendra Singh Tomar tweeted and wrote, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 14 May 2021 at 11:00 am, as the 8th installment in the accounts of 9.5 crore farmers of the country, under the #PMKisan scheme, Rs. 19,000 crore will be transferred through DBT.

Under the PM-Kisan scheme, eligible beneficiary farmer families are provided with a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year, payable in three equal 4-monthly installments of Rs 2,000 each. The fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. In this scheme, more than Rs 1.15 lakh crore worth of honors have been transferred to the farming families till now.
