Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel felicitated more than 570 teachers of Patan Vidhan Sabha constituency in a dignified program organized at Swami Atmanand English School, Kumhari on the occasion of Teachers’ Day today and congratulated them on Teachers’ Day. The honored teachers included retired and working teachers. On this occasion, Shri Baghel discussed with the children of Swami Atmanand English Medium School and inquired about their studies. The Chief Minister called upon the children to study diligently and bring laurels to the family, society and Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel during the program gave development works worth Rs. Addressing the program on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that improving education in the state is one of our priorities. He said that Swami Atmanand English Medium School has been opened by the State Government keeping in view the desire of the parents and guardians to teach their children in English medium. He said that now due to economic condition and other problems, there will be no deprivation of English medium education. We started 27 English medium schools in the beginning and people appreciated it a lot. The high quality facilities, academic standards, library, infrastructure, science labs and hard work of our teachers have given these schools a great height. Now our children will also not hesitate to speak English fluently in Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai. The Chief Minister while felicitating the teachers of his Vidhan Sabha said that we are fortunate that our ancestors did a great job for education in Patan region. Before independence there were 6 high schools. This work of our ancestors regarding education is praiseworthy. He said that Swami Atmanand worked for the education of the children of Abujhmad through Vivekananda Vidyapeeth. The children here have been excellent in studies. He said that when we started this innovation, we decided to name these schools after Swami Atmanand. At the beginning of his address, the Chief Minister also saluted the contribution of former President Dr. Radhakrishnan. School Education Minister Mr. Premsai Singh Tekam also gave his address. He said that we have done very good work for education in the state through Padhai Tuhar Dwar and many innovations. Minister in-charge of the district, Mr. Mohammad Akbar said that we have made many innovations in the field of education. Urban Administration Minister Shri Shiv Dahria said that under the guidance of the Chief Minister, very good work is being done for the basic amenities of the people in all the urban bodies. Educationist Shri OP Verma also delivered his address. Kumhari Municipality President Shri Rajeshwar Sonkar and other dignitaries were present on this occasion. Asked Shubhra Sonkar, how is the son feeling here- The Chief Minister spent some time with the children in the Kumhari school today. He asked the children how they felt in this school. Shubhra Sonkar told that she is feeling very good here. Ritu Chaudhary told that the teachers here are very good. The library is also good and we are learning English fast. Neelam Sahu said that our school is very good. The Chief Minister extended the best wishes to the children. Drinking water system would be completed with an amount of Rs.98 crore. For this, he announced to work for drinking water system through Rs 98 crore. It is worth mentioning that today the Chief Minister inaugurated works worth Rs 15 crore and performed Bhoomi Pujan of works worth 42 crores in Kumhari.
