Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey has directed the departmental officers to release water from Gangrel Dam (Ravishankar Reservoir) for irrigation of Kharif crops in the command area of ​​the dam from 30th September, following the instructions of the Chief Minister. The farmers of Dhamtari, Balod, Raipur, Balodabazar-Bhatapara districts will get water from the Gangrel dam for irrigation of Kharif crops. Water Resources Minister Shri Choubey informed that at present there is 79 percent water logging in the Gangrel dam. In view of the need of the farmers, instructions have been given to bring water from Madamsilli and Sondhur to Dudhwa, the reservoir of Mahanadi project group, to Gangrel.
