Dhanwantri is going to start generic medical stores to provide affordable medicines to the patients. Under the scheme, 188 Dhanwantri Medical Stores will be started in 169 cities of the urban bodies of the state. People will be given a discount of more than 50 percent of the Maximum Retail Selling Price (MRP) through these medical stores. This initiative of the Chhattisgarh government will save the money of lakhs of poor and common citizens who buy expensive medicines to cure their diseases. These drug shops operating in the name of Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store, easily getting medicines at low cost in the cities will bring great relief to the common citizens and the way of their treatment will also become easier. After the treatment, the medicines will reach their homes. In the last two and a half years, it has taken many new initiatives to increase access to health services, provide quality treatment and provide free tests, treatment and medicines to the needy. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the Health Department has ensured free access to health facilities to the people through Dr. Khubchand Baghel Swasthya Sahayata Yojana, Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme, Mukhyamantri Haat-Bazaar Clinic Yojna and Mukhyamantri Slum Health Scheme. Continuous up-gradation of facilities and resources in Medical College Hospitals, District Hospitals, Civil Hospitals, Community Health Centers, Primary Health Centers and Sub Health Centers is providing quality treatment to the needy at the local level itself. In this direction, while expanding health facilities, the Government of Chhattisgarh is starting Shree Dhanwantri Dawa Yojna in the state. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will give a new gift to the people of the state with the launch of 85 Shree Dhanwantri Generic Medical Stores on October 20. In this episode, the remaining Dhanwantri medical shops will also be started by the end of October. The special thing is that the way the team of doctors is going to the wards and slums and providing free treatment to the people around their homes through the mobile medical unit, in the same way, through the Shree Dhanwantri drug scheme, affordable medicines are reaching their homes. Preparations are also being made for its arrival. In the coming days, essential medicines will also be delivered to the house as per the need. Herbal products along with generic medicines, 251 important medicines, 27 surgical items, cold, cough, fever, blood. Apart from common diseases like pressure, antibiotics will also be available. To ensure adequate stock and availability of medicines, generic medicines of reputed companies will be sold. Along with the availability of medicines at low prices in these shops, quality herbal products prepared by the Minor Forest Produce Association of the state will also be available for sale. These herbal products are also important in curing many types of diseases and improving health. Treatment being done in hospitals including MMU Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme is operational in the state. In this, priority and Antyodaya ration card holder families are being treated. Financially weak 56 lakh families are covered in this scheme. In all government hospitals and contract private hospitals, treatment can be done under this scheme with ration card and another identity card. Under the Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme, other ration card holder families are eligible for treatment up to Rs. 50 thousand. Overall, about 65 lakh families of the state are in the category of this scheme. Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme for the treatment of serious diseases, Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme has been started to provide treatment facilities to the people of the state in serious and rare diseases. Under this, money is provided for treatment of incurable diseases after the approval of the Chief Minister. Every citizen of the state is under the ambit of free treatment through Dr. Khubchand Baghel Swasthya Sahayata Yojana and Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme. Dai-Didi special clinics are also being run for the treatment of women in the state. In this, all the staff from nurses to doctors are women. Here women can get treatment without any hesitation by telling their ailments and problems. Facilities are also being increased in district hospitals. The Government of Chhattisgarh is also continuously taking steps towards providing quick and better treatment to the residents of the state. With the introduction of chemotherapy and dialysis facilities in many district hospitals of the state, serious diseases are being treated at the local level. Due to this, people are saving money, time and labor in going out for treatment. Free chemotherapy of cancer patients is being done through longevity wards in district hospitals. Preparation to deal with other infections including corona Almost all countries and states have been affected by the global pandemic like corona. The Chhattisgarh government made preparations in time to control the corona with proper management and for its investigation and necessary treatment. More than 9 lakh 91 thousand people have defeated Corona in the state. The strategy that the state government has decided to deal with corona includes oxygen concentrators in every primary health centre, all oxygen beds in each district hospital, ICU beds with ventilators, infant ventilators, PSA plants for oxygen, liquid oxygen tanks and oxygen. Pipelines and manifolds, oxygen beds in every community health center, jumbo cylinders and ICU beds, ICU beds with ventilators in each medical college hospital, infant ventilators will have all the resources. For adequate availability of oxygen, 100 PSA oxygen plants have been sanctioned in the state, out of which 23 have been completed and 77 are under construction. Additional arrangement of pipeline is being made in the beds of all the district hospitals of the state. In 967 government and 435 private hospitals of the state, treatment facilities are being provided to the needy under Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme and Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
