On International Yoga Day as the world matched the steps of India’s ancient art, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar decided to sing another tune. Nitish Kumar who is miffed with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Prime Minister Narendra Modi over not imposing nationwide ban on liquor, decided to celebrate World Music Day today. Bringing into practice his electoral promise, Nitish Kumar imposed ban on liquor sale in Bihar. He has been pushing the Centre for imposing a nationwide ban on liquor.

Hindustan Times quoted JD (U) spokesperson Sanjay Singh, “The Centre is spending huge money on promotion of yoga. It has converted yoga into a political ‘akhara’ (wrestling ground), whereas the fact is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is using it for self-branding.”
