Raipur. In Chhattisgarh today, due to sudden change of weather patterns, there was rain with thunderstorms in many places. At the same time, natural havoc was seen in many places. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of strong thunderstorms, rain and hailstorm within the next 3 hours in various districts of the state. For this, the Meteorological Department has issued Yellow, Orange and Red Alert.
Yellow alert
There is a possibility of thunderstorms with surface air and rain at some places in Korea, Manendragarh-Chirmi-Bharatpur, Balrampur and Jashpur districts.
Orange alert
Gourela Pendra Marwahi, Bilaspur, Janjgir-Champa, Sarangarh Biligarh, Sakti, Raigad, Korba, Surguja, Surajpur, Narayanpur, Kondagaon are expected to rain with moderate thunderstorms with surface air, rain and hailstorm at some places in some places.
Red alert
Kabirdham, Khairgarh Chuikhadan Gandai, Rajnandgaon, Kanker, Balod, Dhamtari, Durg, Gariaband, Mahasamund, Raipur, Baloda Nazar, Bemetara are likely to cause serious storms with surface air, rain and hailstorm at some places.
Light for the last 4 hours in Raipur
Due to strong thunderstorms and rain, power supply in many parts of Raipur has come to a standstill. Especially, 11 KV Ashoka Ratan-1 feeder has brought a breakdown in power supply, due to which many areas of the capital have not been electricity for the last four hours. The Chhattisgarh State Electricity Distribution Company (CSPDCL) informed the people that, “The power supply is closed due to a breakdown maintenance from 4:45 pm to 9:45 pm on 01/05/2025.”
