Ashutosh Tiwari, Jagdalpur. On Monday, there was a ruckus at Chitrakote, the most famous tourist destination located in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh. Lohandiguda SDM Nitish Verma sealed the Naka run by the committee as illegal. Actually, a committee of people of the village conducts this block. The committee has been charging fees for a long time in the name of vehicle entry and parking from tourists visiting Chitrakote tourist places. Describing the said committee as illegal, the SDM sealed Naka, after which the angry Naka committee blocked the Chitrakot Marg at Maradum Chowk under the leadership of Sarpanch Bhanwar Maurya of the village and started a protest against the administration.
Sarpanch Bhanwar Maurya says that in the month of March itself, the new committee was given the responsibility of Naka, while corruption was done by the old committee. Taking no action on the old committee, work was done to ban the work of the new committee. Sarpanch Maurya accused Lohandiguda SDM of taking this action due to not being made by the committee. For about 5 hours, members of the committee continued to protest against the administration in the middle of the road in the harsh sunlight.
During this time, the tourist who came to visit Chitrakote also had to get upset due to road jam. On the occasion, Lohandiguda SDM Nitish Verma, Tehsildar Kailash Poyam, SDOP Ishwar Trivedi, Lohandiguda police station in -charge Ravi Kumar Baiga tried to celebrate the protesting people a lot but the protesters remained standing. On not accepting the matter, on the orders of SDM, the police were ordered to remove it from the road using force. Policemen removed the protesters from the road and took them to Lohandiguda police station within a few minutes.
SDM Nitish Verma said about the allegations against him that Naka was being operated illegally in the tourist destination. He was complained about this. He also informed the current committee in this regard. The committee was not even registered, allegedly the Gram Sabha in which the new committee was ordered to operate the block, only 25 people are signed in that gram sabha. Most of these committee are operators.
