Chief Minister’s mass girl marriage was organized on Saturday at the development block headquarters Nawagarh under Bemetara district. MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Shri Gurudayal Banjare and Bemetara Collector Shri Shiv Anant Tayal wished the bride and groom a happy married life. 27 couples entered into married life in this marriage program. In the program, the newly married couple were blessed by the Chief Minister of the state Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and the Minister of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Anila Wolf through online. For the first time in Chhattisgarh, mass wedding ceremonies were organized under this scheme in 22 districts, all the districts were connected to the function held in the capital Raipur through video conferencing. Under the Chief Minister’s collective girl marriage, gift material worth 19 thousand rupees was provided to each couples. In which the married couple are gifted furniture, utensils, mattresses, pillows, clothes, pressure cooker, jewelry, clock etc. and cash amount of 1000 rupees was given to the newly married woman. The main objective of this scheme is to remove the difficulties faced by poor girls in their marriages and to prevent unnecessary wasteful expenditure in the marriage. Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Banjare presented a check of Rs. 50 thousand to Mrs. Saraswati Verma of the retired Anganwadi worker village Katai. Presented a check of 25 thousand rupees to Anganwadi Sahika, Mrs. Baisakhia Bai, resident of village Mehna. On this occasion, Nagar Panchayat President Nawagarh Tilak Ghosh, District Panchayat President Mrs. Anjali Markande, Chairman Women and Child Development J.P.
