CG News: Raipur. The State GST department has taken major action against businessmen who steal tax. State GST Ambikapur has investigated the business site of Messrs Bansal Trading Corporation Ambikapur on Thursday. According to the official information, according to the GST portal run by the central government, their risk score was coming 10, which means that the firm is involved in the upset. When the investigation team arrived on the spot, he saw that no account book or any software related to the business was found at their business site, which increased the possibility of taxing. Further investigation found that the total turnover from the year 2017-18 to 2024-25 is more than Rs 158 crore, but the tax pay on it is zero.
When the e-way bill was investigated, it was found that in the year 2023-24, the purchase of goods was Rs 29.50 crore, but the supply of goods was only Rs 50 lakh. This shows that the sale of goods has been done to the common consumer, but the bill has been given the benefit of bogus GST input tax by selling the bill, which has caused a lot of tax revenue loss to the state government with the central government. During the investigation, the businessman voluntarily accepts his mistake error. 40.00 lakhs expressed the intention of paying tax but the officials of GST department demanded the businessman to submit account books and other documents. No documents have been submitted by the businessman yet.
Apart from this, investigation has been taken by the State GST Department Ambikapur at the business site of Messrs Laxmi Traders, Ambikapur on May 30 and 31. Investigations here found that the total turnover from the year 2017-18 to 2024-25 is more than 96 crore rupees, but the cash payment has been negligible on it.
