A fierce gun battle in Balochistan’s Barkhan district resulted in the deaths of four Baloch fighters. The clash occurred in the Koh-e-Jandar area of Rakni tehsil and involved a ‘state-backed’ armed group. Residents reported heavy weaponry being used during the hours-long confrontation. The deceased have been identified as Mustafa Noor, Samiullah, Rasaan Qadir, and Shahzaib. Their bodies were transported to a Rakni hospital. Concurrently, Pakistani forces initiated a military operation in the Spilinji area of Mastung district, leading to intense fighting and reported casualties on both sides. No Baloch armed group has yet claimed responsibility for the Spilinji clashes. These incidents highlight the ongoing conflict between nationalist groups and state forces in Balochistan.
