Coco Gauff, the 21-year-old American tennis sensation, has etched her name in the annals of tennis history by securing her maiden French Open women’s singles title. In a thrilling final match on Court Philippe-Chatrier on June 7, Gauff showcased her remarkable skills, delivering a stunning comeback to defeat World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka. The final score was 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-4 in favor of Gauff, marking a significant milestone in her career. This victory also served as a sweet revenge, as Gauff had previously lost to Sabalenka in the Madrid Open final earlier this year. Moreover, the triumph is Gauff’s first clay court title of the season, solidifying her position as one of the leading figures in women’s tennis. The win also signifies her second Grand Slam title, following her US Open victory in 2023, which was also against Sabalenka.
