The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert, predicting scorching temperatures across several states. West Rajasthan is expected to experience extreme heat from June 10th to 13th. Delhi and the surrounding National Capital Region (NCR) are already facing temperatures above 43°C. Heatwave conditions are also anticipated in Jammu-Kashmir (June 10-12), Punjab (June 10-13), Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi & West Uttar Pradesh (June 10-12), East Uttar Pradesh (June 10), and East Rajasthan & north Madhya Pradesh (June 10-11). Meanwhile, the Northeast regions, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, continue to grapple with heavy rainfall and waterlogging. The IMD forecasts intense downpours in these areas throughout the week. Uttarakhand is also expected to experience torrential rains, disrupting daily activities until June 15th. Thunderstorms and rain are likely over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands (June 11-12), Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim (June 12, 14 & 15), and Odisha (June 10, 14 & 15).
