Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav, a legislator of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has been elected unopposed as the Jharkhand Pradesh RJD President for the term 2025-2028. This marks Yadav’s second consecutive term as the state RJD President. The announcement confirming Yadav’s unopposed election was released by the Jharkhand RJD. The statement revealed that while three individuals had filed nominations for the post, the nominations of the other two candidates were rejected. Consequently, Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav was declared the unopposed president. The newly elected President, Sanjay Singh Yadav, is an RJD MLA from the Hussainabad assembly constituency. The organizational elections for the Rashtriya Janata Dal for 2025-2028 are underway, and the process for the state president’s election in Jharkhand was in progress. Nominations were received until 2 PM on June 14th. The scrutiny of the received nomination papers took place on Sunday between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. The scrutiny revealed that the first applicant was Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav. All ten proposers for his nomination were members of the state council, thus, Yadav’s application was accepted. The nominations of the other two candidates, Abhay Kumar Singh and Sadaqat Hussain Ansari, were rejected because their proposers were not members of the state council. Since Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav remained the only candidate, he was declared the unopposed president of the Jharkhand Pradesh RJD for 2025-2028. Sanjay Singh Yadav, the MLA from Hussainabad, has been elected as the Jharkhand Pradesh RJD President for the second time in a row. He has been elected as an MLA from the Hussainabad seat for the third time. He first won from the Hussainabad seat on the RJD symbol in 2000, followed by victories in 2009 and 2024. Following his re-election, Yadav received congratulations from party workers.
