The Indian Railways is actively working on multiple projects to enhance train operations, with several nearing completion. The Anuppur-Katni third rail line project, crucial for the railway infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, has been finalized. This 165.5-kilometer-long rail line is expected to become operational soon. The completion of this project will significantly improve connectivity and operational capacity in the region. The project, which had a budget of approximately 1680 crore rupees, saw the completion of 101 kilometers of track last year, with the remaining portion finished in the following ten months. The new rail line will improve line capacity, accelerate the transportation of coal and minerals, boost tourism to Bandhavgarh National Park, and foster travel and trade between Chhattisgarh and MP.
