A young man in Bhagalpur, Bihar, ended his life after his girlfriend allegedly asked him to prove his love by dying for her. The deceased, identified as Deepak (19), was a resident of Banka. He worked at a private clinic in Bhagalpur and met the girl at a wedding a month prior. Their relationship quickly escalated, with Deepak reportedly spending a significant amount of money on her. When the girl stopped communicating with him, Deepak became distraught. His friends found messages on his social media, where he pleaded with her to talk to him. Her alleged response was, “If you love me, prove it, die for me…” Following this, Deepak consumed a poisonous substance and took his own life. His father stated he was unaware of the issues his son was facing.
