Neha Singh, a well-known orchestra dancer, was found dead by suicide in Aurangabad, Bihar. The Delhi native had been renting a room in Aurangabad with her son, Shivansh, and other female dancers for the past three years. Her husband, Darpan Paswan, was also living with her.
On the day of the incident, Darpan was away in his ancestral village. Earlier, Neha returned from a program in Jharkhand around 3 a.m. and spoke with her husband on the phone. During the call, a heated argument ensued. Neha then threatened to end her life, which deeply concerned Darpan, although he was not present at the time.
Darpan, unable to sleep due to worry, contacted his son Shivansh, who reported that his mother was awake and using her phone in her room. Shortly after, Neha was found hanging from the ceiling fan. Darpan received a call from Roshan, a woman who worked with Neha, at 4 a.m., informing him of the tragic event. Local residents and the landlord gathered at the scene. Darpan arrived an hour later and immediately notified the local police, who initiated an investigation. Neha’s first marriage was in Delhi, and she had gained fame as a dancer. During orchestra performances, she met Darpan, an organizer for an orchestra group. They married six years ago, and Neha had a son, Shivansh, from her previous marriage.
