Bajaj has expanded its Chetak electric scooter lineup with the introduction of the new 3001 model. Priced at Rs 99,000, the 3001 replaces the Chetak 2903 and incorporates a new chassis platform. This makes the Bajaj Chetak a strong contender for those seeking an affordable electric commuter.
The Chetak 3001 is powered by a 3 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 127 km. It can be charged using a 750W charger, which replenishes the battery from 0 to 80% in approximately 3 hours. The scooter shares the same advanced chassis as its premium counterparts, retaining the 35-liter under-seat storage. The 3001 features a color LCD display, and customers can opt for a TecPac to enable features like call and music control, along with guide-me-home lights, hill hold assist, reverse lights, and auto-flashing tail lights.
At Rs 99,990, the Bajaj Chetak 3001 becomes the most affordable model in the Chetak range, undercutting many competitors. It will be available in Red, Yellow, and Blue colors, with deliveries starting soon. The scooter’s specifications, including battery capacity, range, and features, are compared against models like the Honda Activa-E, TVS iQube, and Suzuki e-Access.
