In a collaborative effort, the Indian High Commission in Nicosia and the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) organized a yoga event ahead of the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025, themed ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health.’ The event, held at the UNFICYP Headquarters, saw participation from dignitaries including the High Commissioner of India and the Acting Force Commander. Major Dharmpal Singh of the Indian Army played a key role in coordinating the event. The initiative highlighted yoga’s role in promoting well-being and mental harmony, with Colonel Allen emphasizing its potential to strengthen morale and mission readiness. The High Commissioner emphasized the event’s reflection of cultural diplomacy and global wellness.
