An incident in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, involved a woman who jumped from a hotel roof to escape her husband. The husband, with the assistance of a police officer, discovered his wife with her alleged lover at a hotel in the Baraut police station jurisdiction. The woman’s escape was captured on video and has gone viral on social media. The woman, a resident of the Chaprauli area, had been attending mediation meetings with her husband at the SP office. After leaving the third meeting, she took a bus to Baraut and then a motorcycle to the ‘Holiday Hotel’ with her companion. Upon the arrival of the police, alerted by the husband, the woman jumped from the roof, approximately 12-13 feet high, and fled. Police investigations are ongoing, and the incident has raised concerns in the area.
