During a public event in Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asserted that the state’s government job recruitment process has undergone a complete overhaul. He stated that under the previous Samajwadi Party government, government jobs were being ‘auctioned.’ He emphasized that one particular family was heavily involved in these alleged acts, which were widely witnessed across the state. Adityanath contrasted this with the current system, where jobs are awarded based on merit. The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 194 development projects valued at Rs 1,184 crore. Furthermore, he announced that 11,690 farmer families would benefit from the distribution of over Rs 500 crore under the ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Bima Yojana.’ This year, families of farmers affected by disasters will receive Rs 5 lakh each from the UP government, which will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of 431 families. This followed Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s distribution of appointment letters to 60,244 Civil Police Constables of Uttar Pradesh Police in Lucknow. Shah highlighted the significant expansion of the UP Police force and praised the current administration’s efforts to improve law and order, noting its deterioration prior to 2017. The Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2024 took place on August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31 across 67 districts, with the aim of filling over 60,000 vacancies.
