Canva has introduced a new AI-powered video feature called “Create a Video Clip,” leveraging Google’s Veo 3 model. This tool enables users to generate 8-second cinematic video clips, complete with sound, using simple text prompts. This integration brings high-quality video generation capabilities to Canva’s AI suite, simplifying the creation of dynamic video content for social media, presentations, and other platforms. The feature is accessible to both paid and nonprofit Canva users, with an initial allowance of five generations per month. It is also being rolled out to Leonardo.Ai subscribers. This marks one of the initial public integrations of Veo 3 since its introduction at Google I/O 2025. The new feature utilizes a voice-enabled conversational flow, employing Veo 3 to generate video and synchronized audio. This includes cinematic visuals, seamless transitions, and audio perfectly synced to the video’s motion. Users can simply input a prompt, and the platform automatically crafts the video, which can then be refined within Canva’s video editor.
