Kirti Patel, a social media influencer with a substantial following of 1.3 million on Instagram, has been apprehended in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, after remaining at large for over ten months. The arrest stems from a honeytrap and extortion case involving a local builder, with the initial FIR registered in Surat on June 2. Patel is accused of luring the builder, subsequently blackmailing him, and demanding a significant ransom. While four other individuals implicated in the case were previously arrested, Patel had managed to evade capture by frequently changing locations and using multiple SIM cards. The Surat Police, with the aid of their technical team and cyber experts, eventually tracked her to the Sarkhej area of Ahmedabad, leading to her arrest. According to authorities, Patel had demanded a sum of 2 crore rupees from the builder.
