Chaos erupted at the Mahnar Community Health Center in Vaishali district, Bihar, when two intoxicated individuals assaulted healthcare workers, security personnel, and a doctor. The men created a disturbance and vandalized the premises. Even the police, who arrived at the scene after being informed, were attacked by the inebriated youths. The incident began when the two men, reportedly injured, arrived at the health center seeking treatment. After causing significant damage and creating a scene, the police eventually apprehended them. One of the men, identified as Mantu Rai, a resident of Ganiyari in the Desri police station area, was reportedly injured in a motorcycle accident.
The men damaged hospital property, including chairs, benches, and items in the OPD. Dr. Arun Kumar, the medical officer at the health center, security personnel Rana Pratap Singh, Anand Mohan, Kailas Paswan, Gopal, and Dinesh Paswan were injured in the assault. Dr. Arun Kumar stated that the two patients, who arrived for treatment, began abusing staff and physically assaulting them. When the guards intervened, they were also attacked. The individuals had reportedly been in an accident prior to arriving at the hospital. Police were called to the scene. When the police attempted to arrest them, they turned violent towards the officers. The injured men received treatment under police supervision and were subsequently taken into custody. The police are investigating the incident.
