In a developing family feud, Tej Pratap Yadav, son of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, has hinted at potentially taking his grievances to the Supreme Court. A recent post on X (formerly Twitter) included a cryptic message suggesting he might approach the apex court to ‘end what they started.’ This follows the expulsion of Tej Pratap from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party by his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, citing public misconduct. The younger Yadav has shared a picture of himself standing before a picture of his father, seemingly in a pose of defiance.
Analysts are interpreting this as a sign that Tej Pratap is ready to take on his own family, particularly with Bihar elections approaching. The public dispute stems from an ongoing rift, fueled by the Anushka Yadav controversy and the divorce proceedings with his wife, Aishwarya Rai. Tejashwi Yadav, when questioned about his brother’s expulsion, stated that his brother is free to make his own decisions. The situation has also drawn reactions from social media users, with some questioning the relevance of involving the Supreme Court in what appears to be a family matter. Aishwarya Rai’s reaction to the expulsion also adds another layer of complexity, hinting at a pre-election drama. She comes from a strong political background as well, with her father and grandfather also being political figures.
