A 40-year-old woman in Kerala died by suicide after reportedly being subjected to public humiliation. Police have arrested three activists associated with the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) in connection with the case. The victim, identified as Rasina, was found dead at her home in Pinarayi village. Reports indicate she was upset after being questioned by a group of men over her relationship with a male friend. The friend was also reportedly assaulted and detained. In a separate development, the Supreme Court has directed the investigation into the suspension of Tamil Nadu’s Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) HM Jayaram in an abduction case to the CBCID (Crime Branch Criminal Investigation Department).
