Rumors of alternative casting for the big-screen adaptation of the iconic Doordarshan serial ‘Shaktimaan’ have been circulating, particularly with speculation about Allu Arjun replacing Ranveer Singh. However, these rumors have been firmly debunked by sources close to the project. Actor and director Basil Joseph has confirmed that Ranveer Singh will be the only actor portraying the titular role in the upcoming film. The original television series, which aired from 1997 for eight years, starred Mukesh Khanna. The movie version, written and directed by Joseph, was conceived with Ranveer Singh in mind from the beginning. The project team has dismissed any suggestions of a change in casting.
