Bihar’s agricultural sector is experiencing remarkable advancements through the successful integration of modern techniques and scientific methodologies. A prime example of this progress is the significant increase in banana production within the state. Driven by the Bihar government’s initiatives and the dedication of farmers, banana production has witnessed a more than threefold increase over the past two decades. This achievement underscores the effectiveness of the state’s agricultural policies and technological innovations. In 2004-05, the total banana production was 5.45 lakh metric tons, which surged to 19.68 lakh metric tons by 2022-23.
