**Plot:**
The story unfolds around Laura, a former childcare worker devastated by the sudden and tragic death of her daughter. Consumed by grief, Laura’s sorrow evolves into an obsession. Seeking to fill the void, she opens her secluded home in the countryside to foster children, becoming a temporary guardian for orphans. Among them are teenage twins Andy and Piper, still coping with the loss of their parents, and a withdrawn young girl who rarely speaks.
Initially, Laura appears gentle and caring, but the children soon sense something amiss in the house. Doors mysteriously creak open, whispers echo from the shadows, and Laura’s behavior becomes erratic, especially at night.
As the twins adjust, they uncover a hidden room and witness a disturbing ritual involving Laura chanting incantations over a decaying shrine filled with remnants of her deceased daughter’s belongings.
Andy and Piper realize Laura isn’t just grieving; she’s been preparing for a resurrection. The silent orphan girl is part of the ceremony, a vessel, and now Laura believes she needs a stronger sacrifice.
