Rishabh Pant has etched his name in the annals of cricket history by becoming the first Indian wicketkeeper-batter to score centuries in both innings of a Test match on English soil. Pant’s aggressive batting style left the English bowlers bewildered. He reached his century in the first innings in 126 balls, ultimately scoring 134. In the second innings, he reached his century in 130 balls, hitting 2 sixes and 13 fours. This achievement has propelled Pant into the company of elite wicketkeeper-batters, with his 7 Test centuries placing him among the world’s top performers. Playing as vice-captain, Pant demonstrated responsibility and maturity, forming crucial partnerships in both innings. He is now one of only seven Indian batsmen to achieve this feat, and the first to do so in England. The match is poised with India holding a significant lead on Day 4.
