The incident occurred in Bhatchak village, under the jurisdiction of the Town police station. A woman with three children remarried her nephew within her own family. According to reports, the daughter of Prahlad Sah, a resident of Mohali Garh in Giddhour police station area, was married to Sawan Kumar alias Commando, a resident of Bhatchak, about 7 years ago. They had three sons. Everything was going well until the woman began an affair with her nephew, Deepak Kumar, three years ago.
When the family found out, there was a huge uproar. Both were counseled. The husband also said to his wife, “What are you doing? We have three children. Think about them. At the age of raising children, you are in love with another man.” There were daily arguments between the husband and wife regarding this. Then one day, the woman ran away from home.
In a video, they appealed for protection. On Thursday, Deepak filled his aunt’s hairline with vermilion and remarried her in a hut-like room. They made a video of the wedding and went viral on social media, appealing for protection. In the viral video, both are seen saying that they got married of their own free will and there was no pressure from anyone.
