A tragic stampede at the Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri resulted in the deaths of at least three people and injuries to several others. The incident occurred early Sunday morning at Saradhabali, near the Gundicha Temple, as a large crowd of devotees gathered for darshan of the holy trinity. Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan confirmed the casualties, stating that the deaths were due to suffocation in the crowded area. Earlier, health officials reported that around 750 devotees were treated for crowd-related health issues.
