The cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, convened today at Mahanadi Bhawan in the Ministry to make significant decisions.
One major decision was in favor of farmers. The scope of the Krushak Unnati Yojana was expanded by amending the existing guidelines. Now, the scheme will benefit farmers who cultivate pulses, oilseeds, and maize instead of paddy in Kharif 2025, in addition to paddy farmers.
Farmers registered in Kharif 2024 who cultivated paddy and sold it at the support price, and who cultivate pulses, oilseeds, maize, etc., instead of paddy in Kharif 2025, will also receive assistance under the Krushak Unnati Yojana.
The cabinet approved the draft of the Chhattisgarh Pension Fund Formation and Management and Regulation Bill-2025 to better manage financial liabilities related to pension payments at the time of retirement for government employees.
For long-term economic development and fiscal stability in the state, the cabinet approved the draft of the Chhattisgarh Growth and Stability Fund Formation and Management and Regulation Bill-2025. This will facilitate proper management of unusual increases/decreases in state revenue and provide financial security during economic downturns.
The cabinet approved the draft of the Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy-2025 for the overall development of the logistics sector in the state. This policy will help develop Chhattisgarh as a logistics hub and strengthen export infrastructure.
Leveraging the state’s geographical location, the policy aims to attract investment from national and multinational logistics and e-commerce companies to establish logistics hubs. It will increase the state’s storage capacity, providing affordable storage facilities to industries, traders, and farmers. Reducing logistics costs in the state will boost trade, investment, and economic development.
The policy will also encourage the establishment of dry ports/inland container depots, providing micro, small, and medium enterprises and local producers access to export markets. An ecosystem will be created for the export of the state’s abundant forest resources, forest produce, and medicinal plant products. This policy will also create new employment opportunities for the youth of the state and establish the state in a leading role in the logistics and export sector.
Taking an important decision, the cabinet approved the draft of the Chhattisgarh Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill-2025 to decriminalize provisions of some state laws. The Jan Vishwas Bill will ease business and livelihoods, reducing unnecessary court cases and associated expenses.
The cabinet approved 7 schemes under the Redevelopment Plan for the systematic development and optimal use of the pre-built and dilapidated buildings of various departments/corporations/boards/companies/boards and their unused government land. These include schemes for Shanti Nagar Raipur, BTI Shankar Nagar Raipur, Kailash Nagar Rajnandgaon, Chandni Chowk Phase-2 Jagdalpur, Civil Line Kanker, Club Para Mahasamund, and Katghora Korba.
The cabinet decided to reduce the minimum qualifying service of 05 years for promotion from the post of Upper Class Registration Clerk/Record Keeper to the post of Third Class Executive, Sub-Registrar to a minimum qualifying service of 02 years, but only for once.
