An 18-year-old woman from Rajasthan was rescued by the immigration department and Delhi Police at the Delhi airport, thwarting a suspected trafficking attempt. The woman was en route to Oman where her alleged boyfriend had planned to sell her. The man, identified as 35-year-old Mohammed Islam, befriended the woman online, promising her a luxurious life in Muscat, Oman. He assisted her in obtaining a passport and booked her flight. The woman left her home in Churu with cash and jewelry, without informing her family. Alerted by the family, the police initiated an investigation and located her at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The Churu police collaborated with the embassy and Delhi Police to rescue her just before takeoff.
