Dr. Satish Kumar, the in-charge of the Choupahran Community Health Center (CHC) in Hazaribagh, was apprehended by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday while accepting a bribe. The complaint was filed by Ujjwal Sinha, the operator of the Mamta Vahan Seva. Dr. Kumar had demanded 3,000 rupees for signing the pending bills of 25,000 rupees. The ACB conducted a discreet investigation before taking action, and the charges were found to be true. A case has been registered against Dr. Kumar under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The incident has caused a stir in the health department and is a topic of discussion in the Choupahran CHC and surrounding areas.
