A harrowing case has emerged from Ranchi, Jharkhand, where a minor, blind girl was reportedly subjected to repeated sexual assault by her own father and brothers over a period of three years. Adding to the tragedy, the girl’s mother allegedly supported the actions and facilitated an abortion when the victim became pregnant. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community.
The victim, due to her blindness and disability, was unable to resist the abuse. Eventually, she confided in neighbors, who immediately informed the police. The police were stunned by the victim’s account.
The police have arrested the parents and one brother. The second brother, who is employed in another state, is being sought. The victim reported that her father and brothers had been repeatedly assaulting her for three years. When she informed her mother, she was reportedly supported. Moreover, when she became pregnant, her mother arranged for an abortion. She added that she couldn’t disclose this to anyone due to the lack of an opportunity.
